South at Antelope Hills Golf Course

tweaks. Antelope Hills South is a fun challenging layout. They really need to monitor the pace of play. Score cards give times to help control playing times but without anyone overseeing pace of groups we found that we were 30 minutes slower than desirable playing time and frustrated by the group in front of us lack of etiquette and skill. Simple fix!

We did not get to play they were closed due to snow, we live a good distance from the course and called twice before going because we had no snow But the answering service answering their phones had no information the course was closed. So therefore we made the travel there and did not get the play, and that was very upsetting.

One of 2 courses at Antelope Hills. This one is more open than the North. A little long from the men's tees (6200) but you get a fair amount of roll unless it has rained a lot. Course is in excellent shape and fun to play. Restaurant/bar is a good place to hang out after playing. Good range and putting green, but pitching area is tiny.

Due to recent rains there were places that have cart damage in the fairways, but there were also large areas of burnt grass. Fairway #7. Management was very friendly as usual, but newer guy behind front desk rather bland.

Enjoyed it enough to come back a 2nd consecutive day!

Fun day of golf. Fairways were firm and fast and gifted me a couple of LONG (for me) drives. The greens were fantastic. They rolled well, not too fast, and didn't have many un-repaired ball marks.

A few dings: there could have been more water jugs on the course, and I didn't see a ranger all day. Finally, why do you allow 5-somes? I can maybe understand if it's 5 solid local golfers, but that was soooo not the case here.

I'll start by saying what great customer service I received ( Thanks Herb ) The golf course is in very good condition especially this time of year ( Being so hot ).Pace of play ... well, lets just say normal for a golf course. ( No Marshall ) for $24 ... well worth the money. Plated with a local ... great guy

Nice fairways, excellent greens, electric carts, good beer prices

It was a really great round. The course was in excellent condition. It was windy but that made it even more fun. The electric carts were powerful and smooth. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely play there again.

Too busy and jammed. Not spaced out since pro shop doesn't care.

Even with tee time reserved, pro shop clerk let someone else out at my time.

Course was in great shape for winter. We had a great round. The greens were fast but I can't blame my 3 puts on that.

The only issue I seem to encounter on a regular basis is pace of play. An affective Marshall is necessary here. Other than that, the facility is a nice value for the money and the bar/restaurant is quite good.

Not the most memorable course layout but it is in outstanding shape with some of the best greens in the state. Played with 2 locals who claim that both courses at this complex are in great shape and after playing the South course I wholeheartedly agree. Greens are smooth and fast which is quite a contrast compared to the Phoenix metro area. Price was reasonable and obtained through GolfNow. Look forward to playing the North course and will definitely play the South course again

This was my 3rd time playing the South Course. This is a perfect example of what taking care of your course results in. Unlike several of the other area public courses, everything about this course was what it should be. From tee to green, I couldn't have asked for better. I can' wait to play it again!

This was the first time I've played the South Course, and it definitely will not be the last. I found the course to be in excellent condition- the fairways were nicely grassed and well-cut; the greens very well-manicured; and if you got off the fairway into the rough, you were fairly penalized by the deeper rough. We played as a 3-some and finished in 3-1/2 hours. Two points: first, it is disappointing that it's very difficult to get on as a single on GolfNow; second, the back nine could use better signage for directions from green to the next tee. Of the other courses I've played in the area, this is by far the best for play and experience.

We love to get out of Phoenix to golf this time of year and this is one of those courses that is worth the hour and a half drive to get there. 80 degree temps, very nice course layout as very few fairways are right next to one another, fairways perfectly cut and the greens probably stimp around 9. Only one complaint is that I didn't see a starter and never saw a Marshall during our round. We got behind a couple that was extremely slow and no Marshall came around to address that.
