Las Colinas Golf Club
About
The golf course at Las Colinas Golf Club stretches over a gently, rolling landscape sprinkled with over 2000 cottonwoods as well as various other native grasses and plants. The greens are separated by ribbons of desert washes, where golfers sometimes catch glimpses of local wildlife. Although the golf course is not as demanding as other championship courses, the layout features an interesting variety of holes that requires precision from every club in the bag. The course offers a challenge for all skill levels with doglegs and lakes coming into play on some holes. Located in the growing community of Queen Creek, Las Colinas Golf Club has become a popular choice in the Valley.

Out Early
We arrived early for our tee time and they got us out right away, 1/2 hour early. Course was decent, some tee boxes chewed up and greens were slow and bumby but fairways for the most part were good. Course is very forgiving, but quite a joy to play. We will be back, hopefully rates will drop a little soon.
Nice Course
Staff was very helpful and professional. Course needed water but was in good shape. Staff in the restaurant was excellent and went out of her way to make sure we were taken care to the fullest. Will play again, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Home course review
I've lived in the community of the villages for 13 years and consider this my home course. The first 9 years I would say the course was in average condition with the greens usually in good condition, and the fairways forgiving for those of us who are not a 6 handicap.
I play the course once or twice weekly and I have seen the improvements made over the last few years to the bunkers having new sand added last summer around the greens. Before it was better to use a putter to get out of a trap as they as hard as concrete. Now, the course is in a much better condition than it has been in the past and it seems to be getting better with new ownership. I am curious about what the new owners will improve upon to make the course I prefer even more enjoyable than it is.
The golf pro Jason, he is great if looking for a lesson to improve your game which I finally did. His recommendations have helped me out greatly. Thank you!
Overall : Course is as challenging as yoy want to make it, play from the tips if you are good enough, and play from road runner for average Player is enough for me.
Thanks for the improvements to the course.
All I would recommend is that the new owner(s) and the HOA from the Villages get together and come up with some kind of deal on pricing for those of us who live in the neighborhood. This would keep the business going stronger in the slower months from Mid May to the end of Sept.
Worth Playing...
Have played this course many times, in good condition. Would have been nice to see a Marshall to speed up the foursome in front of a twosome before our foursome.
Otherwise, good to go!
Great course......New Owners.....
The course was in fine shape and not too busy so pace of play was excellent........Practice putting and chipping green is GONE.....Bummer........All other amenities are intact....good fun......
Las Calinas Review
First time playing here and was very happy with course and condition. Pace of play was excellent. Greens were in fairy good condition and fairways cut nice. Tee boxes in good condition. I gave this course a 4 but I rate it more a 4 1/2. Definitely will play there again.
Great Pace
I liked the layout of this course. It is short but the greens are challenging especially with Sunday's pin placement.
Pace of play was 4 h 20 minutes which is good for a Sunday.
Disappointing!!
First of all the club house didn't announce to the first tee so we started the round 20 minutes after our tee time. I know we were not called because the 3 groups ahead of us were two foursomes and a 3 some. Regardless what the gentleman in the clubhouse told us, he blew it.
The condition of the course is a mess. Grass clippings all over the place. Tee boxes were horrible and worse yet the greens were rough and bumpy. The sand traps are still horrible, some with hardly any sand in them and some have more weeds than sand. Warm day mid 90's and no beverage cart.
Pace of play was slow to say the least. I realize snow birds are a big revenue making for all golf courses but the their pace of play is ridiculous.
The price for the green fees is way too expensive for a course that is this rough condition wise. I understand the course has new ownership and they have their work cut out for them.
I am sure others will think this is a harsh review and I am sorry, but this is an honest review so just remember if you decide to play this course you have been warned.
How far they've fallen...
This used to be one of my favorite tracks, but this year it seems they've decided not to maintain the course. While pretty much every other course in AZ is in nice condition for this time of year, Las Co has seemingly decided to take a very laid back approach to their upkeep. Fairways are decent, but they used to be much better, and they're lined with either dirt/rocks or poorly upkept rough. The greens are dry and patchy, and the green on 14 has tire tracks going across it. This course is no longer worth the fees they're charging, but they're going to keep charging them anyway, as this place is always packed to the gills. The people in the clubhouse also tend to be pretty rude, and they take great personal offense to people booking through Golf Now--one guy sat there shaking his head at me when I said I booked through the app. Don't worry fellas, I won't be booking any more rounds here.
