TPC Scottsdale - The Champions Course

Booked on golf now 9 days in advance. Thought I could show my Arizona ID that I’m a Scottsdale resident (like everywhere else) and get the discount. But No. You must book directly with them and 7 days in advance. No exceptions....so, like the title says. Quit screwing the locals!

Very well maintained. Later in day and poor pace of play no rangers. Excellent course, conditions and beautiful. I’d play again for sure.

Talked to the marshal 2 times on the front about the group of front of us as there were two holes open in front of them and we had at 3 different time's we had 3 groups on the tee box waiting for this slow group. Marshalls did nothing to help speed it up. 2 hours and 45 minutes to play the front. Get to the turn and the group was still on the tbox with no none in front of them for as far as we could see. Talked to the marshal again and he acted like they were keeping up. WRONG! Saw the marshal again on 11 and he acted again like they were doing great and was surprised when we were mad-45 minutes to play 10-11. This is the worst course management by a company that calls itself a "golf management company". A group of 3rd graders could have done a better job of course flow. Done with TPC, as there manager sent me an email and said everything appeared to be fine and have a good day.

Course was in great shape. Tee boxes, Fairways, and Greens, all 9.5 out of 10. This is a great course, just as good as more expensive sister course, Stadium

Only drawbacks were there was lots of course maintenance vehicles driving around. And the 2 groups in front of us were extremely slow, and when we mentioned it to the marshal, he told us they “weren’t behind on pace”. We could have completed the round an hour earlier.

Will be back for sure.

From tee box to green this course is absolutely stunning!

Greens were so true. Challenging but not ridiculous.

Fairways were ample in size so even players with not as much skill had hopes to be playable!

Been coming to Scottsdale for 30 years but never played this course. My wife and I loved it. Will play it many more times

Had a rough experience when playing in early March. I was very disappointed in numerous areas, but had an opportunity to return and try it again. I must say it was a complete change from my previous round.

The course is in excellent condition, the pace of play was outstanding and the staff was awesome. We were impressed in every way and will certainly be back. Thanks to all that helped make it a great day for the four of us. It was memorable.

An unusually friendly staff! Usually at these marquee golf courses one encounters staff that are full of themselves, but not here. Or maybe the Covid masks hid their sneering faces? In that case, GO MASKS!

Really enjoyed the course.

However, you need to hit a straight

ball! So, bring extras!

1st time playing golf in Arizona for several years. TPC Champions course was in great shape and all of the services were top notch.

I have an issue in general with the prices for golf in Arizona, especially around the Phoenix area. We can play an Arnold Palmer-designed TCI course in the Midwest for $65. That course is as nice and is even more challenging than this course for less than 1/2 of the money.

Course was in great condition. Friendly staff. Easy check in. I would definitely play again

I can't say I don't like the course. What I don't like is unprofessional and inconsiderate behavior from the ranger, right up to the clubhouse "professional."

Our foursome (me and my cousin and another pair) teed off at 7:15 AM. We quickly got 1.5+ holes ahead of the group behind us. We were on schedule for a 4h 15m round, and ended up finished the round in 4h 9m.

I was surprised, then, to have the ranger not once, but twice come up to us and tell us we were "WAY" behind and that we need to think about which hole to skip???? I'm guessing they screwed up our tee time in their book and were confused by our timing.?.? Needless to say this upset all of us off and ruined most enjoyment of the round.

Then we went to go speak with the person supposedly in charge, Joey. I young 20-something little child who has no understanding of professionalism yet. They did not offer anything as compensation for ruining our round, instead presenting contempt as a solution. This review won't matter because people will play here regardless, but I will never be playing here again.

If this is what TPC stands for, then I have no interest in TPC.

Amazing course, great layout, beautifully kept fairways and greens. Can’t beat the price compared to the Stadium Course.
