Best I’ve seen it

Starfire is in my neighbourhood so I’ve played it over the years occasionally. I thought this is the best I’ve seen it. It’s pretty short course but still demands some accuracy playing through the housing development. Conditions were great.

GOOD GOLF, REASONABLE PRICE!

Finally found a very good golf course at a reasonable price in my new neighborhood in Scottsdale! Plenty long enough from the white tees for an aging (71.5) dude with a 9.5 index looking for good tees and fairways with better than average greens at a price that makes sense. Just a bit rough around the edges but overall, an excellent value for money! So many places charging well over $225 up to $550.00, a real ripoff (think TPC) on the golfing public! I’ll definitely return for more golf at Starfire!

Great Escape for this Utah couple

We were pushed back about an hour on our initial tee time due to frost happening, we asked why this was a big deal, and they said they over seed the course, and driving/walking on frost hurts the course. It was worth the wait as the grass was AMAZING. The locals we golfed with were bundled up as it was really cold for them, but us Utah's were in shorts and a light jacket. Conditions were really nice and didnt have the dormant conditions off of fairways and greens that other courses have. We will definitely be playing this course again should we find ourselves back in Scottsdale.

Basic course Good shape great greens

I play everywhere in Scottsdale, so I get a round in here 2 or 3 times a year. Yesterday (1/20/25) the course was in as good a condition as I remember. Great overseed. Greens perfect, receptive but roll smooth and true. A few chopped up tee boxes, but you expect that with the volume of play this time of year. A few muddy spots at low points / near cart paths .. no big deal. All in all an average scottsdale course in good condition for a similar price of what you'll find at comparable courses nearby.

Dry Conditions
