Legend Trail Golf Club

I thought Legends was going to be a beautiful golf course. Instead, I found a rather normal golf course that charges High Rates. This Golf Course charges premium fees yet the sand traps are horrible with hard as rock sand. The Greens were in pretty good shape. Beverage Cart was readily available and that was good on a hot day. If you live close by, play this Course. If you have a decent drive to get there, it is not worth the commute.

The staff were the most rude I have ever experienced. First off, the starter yelled at us that he wanted to have all of us teed off by our start time, rather than starting at our start time. How were we to know we should actually start before our actual tee time? On one hole we had a maintenance worker who was edging the cat path never look back for players, so we were a bit concerned about the possibility of hitting him. So we aimed our shots to the opposite side of fairway, causing some shots to go into the rough. At another hole, as we were chipping and putting around the green, a maintenance worker had a large blowing machine operating which was extremely noisy and distracting. We waited for him to stop and he wouldn't and when we confronted him afterwards, he was very rude & belligerent. At the end of the round we told a staff member at the pro shop about the noisy machinery incident and we were then told, quite defensively, that the maintenance crew cannot stop for anything as they have a schedule to keep. I have never been on a course where the crew did not stop momentarily, if making lots of noise, while one is either teeing off or putting. Other than at the bag drop area, the staff were very rude and offensive. None of us will ever play this course again and we will not hesitate to share our experience with others.

Beautifully manicured course with a great feel and layout. Excellent practice facility.

A few cons: Expensive except in summer. The course is difficult. It feels like you are rolling the dice every time you have driver in your hand with desert on both sides of every fairway. Accuracy is more important than length.

First time here and had an awesome experience.

Staff was friendly, except the cart girl quit early, so we had to fend for ourselves which we did at the turn.

Nice course for the value. Good pace of play and friendly staff. A few quirky holes but kinda expected for a desert course. Greens rolled well. Will definitely play again.

Greatly enjoyed my round. There are some hidden obstacles/hazards for the first time player. Course hole layout maps should be made available or printed on the scorecard. Course was in excellent condition and the greens were rolling well. This is my new favorite course i in the north Scottsdale area. Will play often when there in the future

It's a great course, difficult but not impossible. However prices are still pretty high, but for the most part worth it.

This course is always in great shape. It’s challenging but fair. 100% value!

Staff was great, really enjoyed the course. back nine is far more challenging than the front. Played from the silver tees. Back nine is serious target golf. Played in March. I did an analysis of the course rating versus cost and legends trail was the winner. highly recommend the $7 breakfast burritos.
