About
When the architect Rees Jones created the golf course at the Legend Trail Golf Club, he created a golf course that brings out the Old West-style air of Scottsdale and a fun and testing golf course with greens made of bent grass. It's a premium golf course smack dab in the Sonora Desert.
The golf course at the Legend Trail Golf Club features broad fairways, diminutive bunkering and tees placed on islands, and has been called one of the Top 100 golf courses by Golf Magazine. The magazine also gives Legend Trail 4.5 stars out of five among its
Best Places to Play, and has one of the Top 100 Woman-Friendly Fairways, according to Golf For Women magazine. Panoramas include local sites like Pinnacle Peak, and a round at Legend Trail Golf Club gives all levels of golfer several different shot-making options.
Golf a late-afternoon round on Friday or Saturday, and head back to the Trail's End Grill from 4 to 6 p.m. for specials on drinks and appetizers.

Play if you can
One of the best courses in north Scottsdale that isn’t fully private. Competes with troon and boulders and all of them. Got a deal for 28.99 and I would have paid more. Green fairways, great greens, fantastic practice area. Only thing I get picky about is having to share a cart. They told me I might have to, but I didnt. But just knowing you might have to share a cart with someone is outrageous in 2024. There was absolutely no one out there and it slows down play 100%. I won’t be back as a single during high season for that reason, just can’t believe great courses like this are sticklers about carts while you’re paying a premium if you don’t get a deal. Top track for sure don’t let that turn you away
Great Course for the Money!
Second very enjoyable round at Legend Trail, First with my son and this with my good friend! Pace of play was outstanding on both accounts! Ranger talked to 3 some ahead of us that we caught on the 5th hole, they sped up their play and we never waited again. Truly enjoyed both rounds, course is in great shape and pace of play was phenomenal! Will look to you in the future, please keep your rates where they are. Fair price for a very solid golf course!!! Heat was brutal, coarse was outstanding
This course was the best I've seen this summer, most in the metro area are rough, patchy grass, lots of dirt, greens are bumpy, this course was best so far his summer.
Great Course, Bad Customer Service
Let me start off with the Good
Have always liked playing this course
Challenging, Good Sand and majority of time pace of play is good
The girls in Bar and cart Girls are Amazing
The Bad-
The Customer Service at front desk over the past year just gets worse and worse
We had a Tee Time booked thru Golf Now for a Twosome a week and a half prior to our date and called and added a 2nd Twosome later on that day.
Get to course yesterday, and Gentleman (im being nice as he was rude) and we have nothing booked for you, he stated this a 2nd time after I showed him my confirmation #. So the back and fourth began for about 5mins and than he said Ill get you out at 7. (Our Original Tee time was 654) we were all fine with this and than he stated, I cant honor the Golf Now price and you will have to pay our rate. Say what? Im sorry but this is Customer Service at its worst. Because someone on your end messed up our group has to pay for that????
Unacceptable!
Again, love the course and the Challenge of it
But they truly need to train their staff better

This is NOT a $300 course
Play it if you get the chance
My gps sent me off into the hinterlands and when it told me “you are here”, I was actually still 40 minutes away. The pro shop was as nice as they could be, told me to keep coming and they would get me out, which they did! The course was in great shape even the bunkers! It is a long way from Gold Canyon but worth the drive. I especially like #11, the split fairway.
