Talking Stick Golf Club - O'odham Course

All was going along fine until late in the round when the beers got working on all the groups around us and the noise level got unbearable. The tees and greens are close together on this course so you need to count on courtesy of others. Unfortunately this was the case. After complaining to the group behind us they took umbrage with our request and harassed us the rest of the round. The course was good greens fast and I played well. Just didn't like the carneval atmosphere.

From pulling up to the drop off and leaving the pick up area everything in between was spot on.

Fairways on the North course are some of the

widest and most forgiving I have ever played.

Greens were some of the fastest I have ever experienced, just kept on rollin. Everyone that we came in contact with (employees) were so nice, polite

and helpful. Made our day a special one. Will definitely come here next chance we are in town.

Met staff on 5 hole said play was slow and he said I will send ranger out right away. Never seen any one almost 5 hour round.

The course is in great shape. The ball sits up nice and fairways are wide. The greens rolled true. It is a great resort course with wide fairways for players who want to hit driver a lot without too much risk. The only downside is that the back nine features 7 par 4s that seemed to have hazards at the same distances. It is a feel good course with plenty of opportunity to score

Pace of play was brutal over five hours to complete round waiting every shot. Course MARSHALL came around we talked with him about pace of play he stated would check it out . Two groups ahead of us had a five some he stated they were doing an on course instruction. Should not be scheduled mid-day Saturday . They held up all the groups behind them.if this

Was going to happen maybe we should have played at a reduced rate not full price

Nice course flags can be seen from most tee boxes very windy when we played. every one quite nice those of you expecting to see a prestine vegas type course its not but it is good enjoyed my round would play again

Course just reopened so fairways long and greens slow. Pace of play was quick because of this. Lacked a bit of character compared to others in the area.

We played with a couple of teaching pros who were practicing for a tournament scheduled to begin the next day. Very friendly pairing! The staff we encountered were also extremely helpful. Definitely had fun and looking forward to playing here again. Only complaint was that it was HOT and there wasn't much shade/water on the course. Be sure to load up the cooler with water before heading out!

great value for this time of year, staff very friendly, driving range was in great shape, putting green was closed due to reseed. North course was in great shape. Fairways plush, greens held the ball well and putted fast and true. Pace was incredibly fast as for a dessert course it was very forgiving to us east coast boys.

The course was in good shape and enjoyed the round. Almost got a lifetime of mosquito bites on the back nine. Brig some spray as the cart girl doesn't sell any. LOL.....

For a flat piece of desert the architecture is well done nice Bail out areas along side of most of the greens

Well manicured course with some tricky holes but for the most part it plays very fair. Pure desert golf so fairways are wide and errant shots are penal.

I have played Talking Stick North and South courses in the past and I have not had a bad condition round and the other day was no exception. Greens, fairways, tee boxes were all in great shape. I will be joining the Talking Stick Golf Club in October.

Long course only 2 par fives and a 260 yard par 3 7100 yards - greens in bad condition - typical desert course - if they would thin out the desert areas to make them more playable and at the minimum make their greens playable in the summer

The fairways are generous and the teens are huge. The difficulty increases when you have to read the undulating greens.

I played Saturday, June 25th around 1030. Even with the heat the course was a busy place and pace of play was not smooth. They were letting twosomes go out and not pairing up groups and caused pace of play to be slower than it should have been.

Customer service was good throughout the day. Clubhouse and starter were both friendly and we saw the beverage cart numerous times throughout the round.

The driving range was chewed up and it was hard to find decent grass to hit on. The range is gigantic and it was disappointing to see this condition especially on a busy weekend.

The course was in good shape for late June in Arizona. Conditions throughout the round were consistent. Tee boxes were all level. The fairways were a little on the dry side but playable. The greens were in good shape and putted fast. Sand traps were a bit inconsistent. Some were nice and fluffy with plenty of sand while others were like playing out of the desert.

The North course is wide open and fairly playable. Some well struck shots are unlucky enough to find the desert with little to no chance of hitting out. Many desert areas are OB. My partner had a well struck drive roll three yards off the grass and under a dead mesquite tree.

I haven't played here in a couple of years and it was nice to play this course again. I'm not sure I could play this course regularly but right now the conditions are good to get a round of summer golf in at a place most people can't afford in the winter/spring month.

Extremely hot day to play but with excellent results. The course was fun, wide open, and challenging yet never doubted as the course conditions remained up to par. Enjoy the warm breeze...

Definitely one of the poorer courses in this region. Price is low so should not expect much. Pace of play was poor.

Played the North on a Tuesday. Rate was good. Liked the staff. Course was in great shape and played really fast. Not the most scenic in the valley but a good test
