About
Hillcrest Golf Club possesses a championship length course that offers a great variety of game options with five sets of tees. The course has a traditional design that features open fairways lined with trees, which put a premium on straight shots. The greens vary greatly with some that are relatively flat and medium sized and others that are quite large and dramatically sloped or multi-tiered. In addition to several sand bunkers, water hazards in the forms of lakes and ponds come into play. The signature hole is the par-5 13th, which has been touted by the Phoenix Gazette as being on of the best holes in the state. Hillcrest Golf Club not only has a dogleg around a lake, the hole requires an approach shot uphill to a green that is guarded by eight bunkers.

Nice round of golf.
Course was in better shape than a lot of courses in the area and the price was reasonable.
Good time
Yeah played 18 holes in 3 and a 1/2 hours it was really awesome of course it's a nice shape
Terrible Course management of groups. 51/2 hour round. No Marshall on course. Wait on each hole was longer than it took to play the hole.
Good value
Fairways and greens were in great condition. I always enjoy this layout so I’m glad to see better conditions than the last time I played it a year or so ago. Older gent in the pro shop was very helpful and got me out a bit early with another single who was excellent company. I thought $48 for a weekend morning round was a great price for this course.
A great layout, great fairways and greens
Hillcrest is a great layout and the greens & fairways are in great shape right now. It looks like they’re putting lots of water on the course right now. My hope is that some day they’ll invest in more sand in the bunkers and better off fairway conditions-like it used to be

Disappointing conditions
While the pace of play was great and the greens were in good condition, so much of this course is bare, hardened dirt.
Great Value
Course is in excellent condition. While the driving paths off the fairway are rough, the money is obviously being spent maintaining the fairways and greens where it really matters. Ground is not always flat On the tee boxes, so be careful where you decide to place your tee so your feet are level with height you want to place your ball before driving. I thoroughly enjoy playing this course.

Nice course with an awesome layout! It's in pretty good shape and it has enough configuration to challenge a golfer like me.

This course was great at one time.
This course was great at one time.
They have really let it run down. Cart paths are horrible. Ball washers have old nasty water. Some ball washers are broken. Drinking water jugs are broken. The fairways and greens were decent. The tee boxes were inconsistent, some haven't been cut in days. The sand traps were horrible. They were either soaked or hard packed. Not sure if we will return, sad.
