Hillcrest Golf Club at Sun City West

To start off, the staff at the clubhouse was amazing, but after that nothing else was. During our play, we were constantly having to avoid the green’s keepers. They were constantly around the greens that we were playing on which made it hard to play without avoiding them. They wouldn’t move and were mowing around the greens that we were putting on. We felt that we were an inconvenience to them. The fairways and greens were very rough. Not a great time.

Hit the fairway to show up on hard panned dirt, bunkers were hard panned or mud, ball marks all over the greens. Greens rolled terribly

It's a nice course though I was a little surprised that playing on Labor Day there was no "Drink Cart" available on the course for the day, nor was there any cold water anywhere on the course. Little disappointed for sure.

People in front of me had not idea about golf etiquette playing from the tip only driving there ball 50 yards pass the demons tees. People need to play to there abilities only played 15 holes got tired of watching army golf 15min a hole. And the 4 some in front of them were no better. I love this course hacks need to play other courses

Hillcrest used to be one of my favorite courses to play at a good price. Over the years it has become just decent. The greens and fairways are in okay shape, but the rest of the course is in pretty poor shape. The rough is not taken care of or groomed, and the sand or traps have no sand and even more rocks and pebbles. I hope they can really build it back to the pristine course that we golfed years ago. I would gladly pay a little more.

Best part of the course were the greens. They were in good shape. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Course was in good shape for middle of July. The most noticeable issue were the cart paths. There were so many holes and bumps when there was a cart path I swear my back took a beating like I was on a pink jeep tour up north.

One time I hit so many bumps I lost a head cover from my driver. Other than that it was fine

I've played this course several times, but this was by far the worst condition I've seen the course. There are several areas that were roped off due to reseeding so you have to drive several yards around to get back to the fairway. The areas you have to drive through were flooded and had turned into a mudbog. The grass in the fairways was spotty as well as some of the greens. The staff has always been very kind, but I will not be back for a while. I like the course layout, so I'm hoping they will get the course back in shape soon....
