El Conquistador Golf & Tennis - Canada Course
About
The Canada Course plays through forests of mesquite trees, offering a parkland atmosphere amongst a desert landscape. The natural terrain snakes through ravines and arroyos, providing several natural hazards. Considerable mounding, doglegs and elevation changes provide a varied layout, making club selection an important factor in addition to careful strategy. Golfers should be prepared to use every club in their bag. The course’s signature hole is the eighth hole, considered one of the toughest par 3s in Tucson. The hole requires players to drive the ball uphill along a narrow ridge between two Saguaro cacti, and canyons border the greens on both sides.

El Con Canada Course
Fairways are the best in town. Rough very hard. Overall good winter golf conditions.

Very nice course
In quite good condition. Wish the driving range had better mats and/ grass. How much would it cost to redo the mats?.

Buyer’s Remorse
Very poor signage- need someone with you that has played the course before, or you’ll be backtracking to find your way, as the cart paths are in bad shape, sometimes non existent.
Not a scenic or beautified course at all, with a high level of road noise.
Way over priced, we’ve played more desirable courses at better weekend rates.
Upon leaving the 16th green (approx 2:45pm) we happened upon the first beverage cart of the day, which was unattended. By then it was no surprise, based on the experience we were having.

Golf before the Super Bowl LV
12:06 tee time on Super Bowl Sunday. Walked off 18 at 4:20! That worked. Course conditions included shaggy, blotchy, slow (7?) greens. Traps were unkempt either crusty top or soft loose sand. Sure, no rakes, you can move ball out of foot prints but traps were not groomed daily so they were a mess. Tough layout with some blind shots up hill, and some narrow, crowned fairways. Only one beverage cart in 18 holes!. At least the price was ok. :-).

Canada vs. Conquistador
The Canada course is the friendlier brother to the Conquistador course. It plays a little shorter, fairways are a little wider, hazards are spread out a little farther apart., by no means a simple layout, but if your game isn't on par that day or the wind is gusting it will definitely let you finish with a little of your pride still intact. The 16th and 17th holes were favorites of mine. Challenging and fun for all. Great experience.

Good solid course .
This is a good solid course that winds through a development, but has surprisingly decent views. Course layout and conditions were very good except the bunkers which could use some raking ( might be a Covid issue). Pace of play was ok 4:15. Staff were great , very friendly. We are going back to play the other course Monday. Solid round for the money.

El Conquistador
Nearly 5 hour round on top of an hour and twenty minutes frost delay even though the overnight low was in the 40s. Got behind an overbooked group outing. We were bumped back without apology. Ranger did nothing to speed up slow play.
