About
The Canada Course plays through forests of mesquite trees, offering a parkland atmosphere amongst a desert landscape. The natural terrain snakes through ravines and arroyos, providing several natural hazards. Considerable mounding, doglegs and elevation changes provide a varied layout, making club selection an important factor in addition to careful strategy. Golfers should be prepared to use every club in their bag. The course’s signature hole is the eighth hole, considered one of the toughest par 3s in Tucson. The hole requires players to drive the ball uphill along a narrow ridge between two Saguaro cacti, and canyons border the greens on both sides.

Excellent conditions
I have played this course several times but the conditions today were much better then previous plays. I would say the team has done superb job in improving the fairways and greens. I will definitely play again!

First round after over seed
Still cart path only which meant the course was wide open and pace of play was excellent. Greens a bit slow but running true and conditions pristine. Like this 18 better than the Conquistador side. The new management seems to be doing a good job so far.

Worth It If Get A Bargain Rate
Played Canada Course. Greens aren't in the excellent condition of the bent grass greens on the Conquistador course but they are ok. Very scenic layout with some tough holes, particularly Par 3 #8 and Par 5 #9. Premium on driving accuracy. Staff welcoming. Practice tee off mats a disadvantage.

Visually challenging
El Cañada is an excellent course. Difficult as represented by the slope.
This was my 2nd time playing this course. Very visually challenging from the tee. Significant elevation changes.

Quite a challenge
Played Cañada course. Green tees. Quite hilly. Good condition but watch for fabric liner in some bunker areas. Nice staff.
