About
The Canada Course plays through forests of mesquite trees, offering a parkland atmosphere amongst a desert landscape. The natural terrain snakes through ravines and arroyos, providing several natural hazards. Considerable mounding, doglegs and elevation changes provide a varied layout, making club selection an important factor in addition to careful strategy. Golfers should be prepared to use every club in their bag. The course’s signature hole is the eighth hole, considered one of the toughest par 3s in Tucson. The hole requires players to drive the ball uphill along a narrow ridge between two Saguaro cacti, and canyons border the greens on both sides.

Good Value
This was definitely a very good value for the price. The price included practice range and a cart. Although this was summer in Tucson the course and players played a very good pace and the covered carts made the round pleasant.
The course was in good shape, especially since this is right before having to reseed. Many of the holes were fairly simple to understand.

Good condition
The Canada course was in good shape for this time of year, 107+ temperatures. The greens were in great shape. Fairways had a lot of grass growing.

La Canada course. 730am 8 17 2020
accuracy counts. Fairways are lush.
Greens in good shape. Played the blue tees and sometimes black. Just a fun first round ever at this facility. Definitely be back.
Good chipping, and putting practice areas.
Range balls were included.

Great Course
I feel that both courses, the El Conquistador and Canada courses are the best 2 courses around for the money.
Conditions on both courses are in great shape for this time of the year.
For the middle of summer, course was in great condition. All of it, from tee boxes to fairways to greens, I was pleased with the course conditions

We need rain...
Like most of the courses here in southern Arizona this one is suffering mightily from the lack of rain. The usual Monsoon remains MIA and most of the courses are unable or unwilling to up their watering to compensate.
The result is a lot of dry , browned out areas. The greens are fairly slow and bumpy, again they just need more water.

Love El Con Canada
If heat is a factor, play early in the morning. Course condition was great! I played the black tees and there are a few holes that are intimidating and challenging. The other tees make play straight forward and much easier. I shot a 78 (net 65), my best round since I took and 8-year hiatus from the links. I love this course, the staff and amenities! Not many courses have free range balls to warm up before your round. My only complaint is the condition of the putting green. It needs a little love, but the greens were in terrific condition. When it's 108 degrees, keeping the grass nice is tough. My hat's off to the grounds crew!
