About
The Canada Course plays through forests of mesquite trees, offering a parkland atmosphere amongst a desert landscape. The natural terrain snakes through ravines and arroyos, providing several natural hazards. Considerable mounding, doglegs and elevation changes provide a varied layout, making club selection an important factor in addition to careful strategy. Golfers should be prepared to use every club in their bag. The course’s signature hole is the eighth hole, considered one of the toughest par 3s in Tucson. The hole requires players to drive the ball uphill along a narrow ridge between two Saguaro cacti, and canyons border the greens on both sides.

Challenging and beautiful
The El Conquistador Canada course has an outstanding layout. The fairways are very well maintained and the greens are better than any public course in the Tucson area that we've played. Sand traps are large, but have enough sand to be fair. We were impressed by the layout which is challenging, but if you play the proper tees for your abilities, it can be a very fun round of golf. Unfortunately, the pace of place was so slow that we didn't get to finish our round due to darkness. The course had a delay due to frost on the course pushing back all the tee times scheduled. We will play the course again hopefully with a faster pace. Otherwise, the course, staff, and people we were paired with were just great.
The course was in good condition. We're experienced a bit of slow play.
Enjoyable course with lots of challenges
The pro shop staff and starter were very friendly and made us feel welcome. We joined another two and appreciated it as there are often long distances between holes and separations. The course was in excellent shape. Each hole is separate from the others. Lots of up-hill holes but the greens are fairly level when you get up the hill. Lots of challenges. Thoroughly enjoyed the course and would definitely play it again and recommend it to others.
El Conquistador - Canada Course
Staff and course conditions were great. Driving range could be better, small and positioned stalls were nothing more than dirt, needed to be rotated to better grass condition
Great view and weather is unbeatable in December. Course is in perfect conditions!!!!
We played as a foursome under 4 hours. Recommend a cart and Canada if you can as a non member.
Just awesome course
Perfect day for dead of winter
Jim the starter is great. Young man stocking range balls very personable and friendly should be in customer service at pro shop. El conquistador la Cañada is in great shape for dead of winter. My brother and I played this course, visiting from Oregon and Alaska. We couldn’t ask for a better warm up round.
Great Course
Beautiful course in great condition. Lots of variety, elevation changes and interesting greens.
