Pretty good shape.
This is my favorite City run golf course and its in pretty good shape for this time of year.
Course in decent shape.
Course in decent shape. Worth playing if you get a deal on Golfnow
Great course.
A city treasure , more funding needs to be directed to both Randolf North and Dell Urich . If El Rio goes as well as Fred Enke all resoureces should be placed on Alvernon. Staff does the best they can , but more money is needed for maintenance.
The rates should be lower considering this is a city course.
The course plays well but greens are a bit bumpy. There should be more water in the water hazards. Some spots were under repair but it looked like they were being attended to. There should be a few more drinking water fountains.
Not worth the money
Course was in bad shape, either dried and hard or overgrown with divots everywhere. Do not play there unless you get on for $20 or less. Ever the carts are shaky!
Public Course gem in the desert
Randolph/ Dell Urich has always been a fantastic facility and 36 holes of public play in the middle of Tucson. Mature trees and well designed holes make it fun for every level of player.
Course was very dry
The golf course was very dry and in very poor condition. Definitely not worth the 23.00 paid to play tis course.
Standard Tucson City Course
As always this Tucson City course was a little over priced and the conditions were only fair to good. Not much grass in the fairways but the pace of play was excellent and we played in two and a half hours. That part was great!
This course was well planed.
The pace was good.It was challenging for the average golfer.Has a short par four , good chance for birdie ,possible eagle.Enjoyable experience.
Quick, enjoyable round.
Southwest PGA was playing later in the day so the pins were in tough spots but the greens were rolling nicely. Overall a very enjoyable day especially given the 3:15 round.
As Arnold would say I'll be back!!!
18 holes and was just a treat for a 75 year old so I played over par but only 10 strokes over my age and of course will be back to try and beat that. Greens were fast and all the same and that was great will recommend it to my friends.
No ranger?
Always love to play here - in good to excellent shape. Greens were pretty hard so tough to hold but fast and fair.
One issue - no ranger presence. The group ahead of us was 1-1.5 holes behind after 5 and never caught up. I understand weekend play is a bit slow but this was excessive - 5 1/2 hours and no offer to play through.
Great Value
This was the first time I played the course and it won't be the last. One of the best values in the Tucson area. The course was in good shape with fast greens. It is an interesting layout and has mature trees lining the fairways.
very nice Parkland design
Dell Urich is a very good modernized Parkland course with good variety of holes from easy to very challenging. Mounding along sides of holes make the course rating lower than it normally would be.
challenging
Good course and very challenging par 4s with their length. Always enjoy playing this course.4
Very good value.
The course is great for those who hit the occasional arrant drive. Big, mature trees make getting back to your own fairway a challenge with out the automatic penalty for a non playable lie. Over all we had a great round of golf. Play was a bit slow, but we didn't have anyplace that we had to be. Overall, great value.
This course is fun and forgiving, but challenging.
Del Urich is not an easy course, but because of the mounds along the fairways and around the greens, it is fairly forgiving for the occasional errant shot. Tees, fairways and greens are in good condition right now. It is probably in the best condition of all of the Tucson City courses today.
Good and bad
A very nice design (one of the best city courses) and the greens and fairways were in fair condition. However, the sand traps contain only a thin veneer of calcite cemented sand over dirt and the place of play is very slow with no marshal to enforce fast play. There are better courses for the same or less money in the Tucson area.
not worth the money
Starter was a total jerk! Greens are in the worst shape I've ever seen here. They allowed a 5 some ahead of us!
