This course is a train wreck!
My daughter came from San Diego to play this course with me. She had researched on the internet and based on the course's web page, the new golf boards were available. Wrong! we were told that only the two 18 hole courses offered the boards.
We arrived at 8:30 a.m. and had to check in at the tennis shop since the golf shop was locked up. The young lady that checked us in was very nice, but not knowledgeable about golf.
There were no golf carts out and we had to wait for a worker to show up to get us a cart. That's the good news. The condition of the course is very substandard. Has not had anyone working at maintenance.
Layout is good and this could be a good course, but not under this management team.

Just Right
For the average golfer who doesn't play multiple times a week, this is truly a challenging course, but beautiful setting and the pace of play is great as no one "pushes" you. It is only 9 holes for the golfers who want to play more--you play it twice! There is no marshal nor drink cart so take your stuff with you. At the start you are offered a free cup of ice and they have the mini ice chests on the carts for your use. For the above average golfer, you'll delight in the challenges of this mountain course - absolutely tricky, but again, the setting is exquisitely mountainside with Sonoran desert shrubs and trees flowering all around, quail & bunnies, and the occasion coyote or snake around the edges. The course is ringed by one-story condo/townhomes that gracefully give color and interest on the edges of the fairway. Truly a jewel of a little course. When the winds dry out the greens, they are fast!
Great starter
Jay, the Starter does the best job I've experienced anywhere.
The course should open earlier in the morning, especially in warm weather.
Course is challenging.
nice course
Played 9 holes with friends and had excellent time. Starting guy was great, course in good condition and no crowds to push us. Played a more 'prestigious' in the area and starter was rude as were many of the golfers on the course. The issues was slow play. Did not matter that we were behind a slow group that included new golfers, people were rude. This course was the polar difference, Nice staff, nice course. In fact we canceled next day play at a different course to come back to this course.
Cheap Course, Great Views
You pay for what you get. The best thing about this course are the views. Don't play unless you want to leave the driver in the bag and hit mid irons all day. Because of the price lots of beginners which made for slow play. No alcohol on course, which made the slow play painful.
Best 2 hour round in Tucson
Wonderful challenging course with incredible views in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains. No back-ups, relaxing round played in 2 hours.
Hidden Treasure
Over the past year, the course has seen some good improvements. The staff is great. Always uncrowded, probably because it had acquired a reputation for not being as well kept. That has changed. The course was in great shape when we played, but only a few other golfers were out. The course needs to be promoted, but not too much, or my review would be talking about the crowds who've discovered this nice nine hold course with marvelous views of Pusch Ridge.
tough little beauty
Pusch Ridge is a mostly uphill course playing to elevated, small, fast greens. It demands you adjust your club selection accordingly. It is in better shape than prior years. If you miss the green, be prepared to do a lot of hilly walking.
Cmcc
Pretty and open enough for even my shots. We'll play it again!
Putsch Ridge
Very nice 9 hole course. Good value for the money. It's a well used course but kept up very well.
Significant Improvements Here
Snowbird from Ontario Canada. Fortunate to spend 3 months in Tucson in the winters. We usually play Pusch Ridge a few times during the stay.
This year notable improvement, particularly with the greens. They are much more acceptable, cut at a good height. The fairways were also well cut - new mower?
Good design, challenging.
In summary, good dollar value.
A challenge
The best thing they could do for this course is to level the tee boxes. Fairways, greens, are in good condition. Has some difficult holes, not a course for a beginner. No rest rooms on course. No pro shop yet, you have to go to the tennis club office to sign in. If you want a challenge on nine holes, this is the course for you.
tough little nine
Challenging nine holer. Lots of elevation changes. Very much fun.
best condition in years
We golf here every year during our winter getaway and this year found it to be in the best shape ever!
One of the best 9 hole tracks you will find
Nice 9 holes
The course looks great! We hadn't played here for over a hear because of bad conditions. They fixed the bunkers and the course is in great shape. Greens were fast.
