Nice 9 holer
Nice 9 hole. Course not in best of shape as it suffered from rain damage.
Good for the money
Your not paying a lot so you can't expect much. Def a fun course that is very difficult and narrow at times. Greens are not really greens and are like short cut grass...thats why it doesnt get good reviews.
challenging but has seen better days (3.58stars)
a few really good holes. most sand traps unplayable. challenging, likly to be some tough pins-tough putts. worth $20 or less for 9 holes.
Cold morning in December
This is a little 9 hole executive course in the foothills by Pusch Ridge. The scenery around is beautiful. The Greens are small, and the grass seems to be a Bermuda... so not really smooth, but easy to read... the fairways can be a little narrow... the challenge here is the elevated greens, or elevation changes. If you are looking for a fun little course to practice your short game, and get a few side hill lies to practice it's fine... I wish I was aware of the fact the mountain hides the sun in the morning... and so it can be very cold.. in the winter!
The bunkers were not even bunkers... more like dirt that hasn't been raked in years...
Poor condition
Golf Now should no longer offer this course. The grass on the fairways is thinning out. Some of the grass on the greens is also dying out and the remaining grass is sparse leaving the greens slow and bumpy. There is no sand in the sand traps -- only dirt with unplayable conditions. There are rumors that the Conquistador courses are being/have been bought by the city. This would account for the poor upkeep by the Hilton Hotel. They don't have the money and they don't care anymore. Pusch Ridge is such a poor value for money that Golf Now should no longer offer this course on their website. The other El Conquistador courses are fine -- fairways, greens and sand bunkers all in good condition.
A waste of money................
Course is in poor shape. Bunkers have not been maintained and even have large rocks in them. Greens are long and shaggy. Heard rumor that Hilton is trying to sell their courses in Tucson. Don't even consider wasting your $$ on a green fee here. Go to a different track or the driving range! Course is a low rate dump.
Good golf - other minor things to be aware of
1) Never found the driving range - it's offsite and quite a ride (located somewhere on La Canada).. 2) Bit cold in the morning as the mountain blocks the eastern sun in the morning. 3) Taxed again on fees after already paying taxes on them to golfnow.
Other than those 3 items, the course was in good shape. I'd play it again and I will call the pro shop first before I consider golfnow.
Goat Ranch
Not quite suitable for goats. Sand traps all unplayable, rocks, and grass in them. Greens in terrible shape. Distances not marked. An Executive course, fairways too narrow.
Gorgeous views
This is a nice setting for a 9 holes of golf. The pro shop attendent was professional and friendly. Due to lack of space there is no driving range and the practice green is small. And the traps were in horrendous shape.
On the other hand there were not many golfers so that was great not to be pushed or push anyone. Very relaxed time and would recommend this for a casual golfer with out course perfection as a must. We had fun and certainly enjoyed the scenery up next to the Catalinas.
en perte de vitesse
Grande deterioration dans les derniers 10 mois probablement du a de fortes pkuies
The PR course is great for golf and views.
The course is easy but challenging. If you hit your shots the rewards are there. If you don't, then boggies plus is what you get. That's golf.
Rocktraps
Course just coming back from over seeding. The traps however were beyond awful. I know they received a lot of rain about 2 months ago, but it looks like the storm happened yesterday.
Nice Variety for Just 9 Holes!
This was my second time at the Pusch Ridge Course. I came back because it's a very nice 9-hole layout that offers all the variety of a well-designed 18-hole course. If you don't have 4 - 5 hours to spare, this course is a nice alternative that you can golf in 2 hours or less.
The course has two par 5 holes, elevation changes, and spectacular views. The greens tend to be narrow, and require a well-placed shot due to their strategic locations. The course is in great shape, and I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon. Again. Great course and friendly staff. I will be back.
nice little course
played at 8:45, course was wet cause of recent overseeding. wait till 11 ish to play. also do not book tuesdays as a large (16+) group of ladies play at that time (snowbirds). bunkers in bad shape. fairly narrow course although a few interesting holes. paid $12 so can't complain to much. overall not a bad course. would go back.
Challenging
Do not pass up playing this course just because it is only a nine hole course.
It is very challenging to get a par on some of the holes.
It will defiantly sharpen up your game.
Don't overlook this course.
My day started off right out of my truck I ran into a friendly and helpful staff letting me know where to go and already getting my cart ready. Course was a little gem and was a pleasure playing.
Poor condition of Course
This course needs to be updated. The grass on the fairways and greens is terrible. What no restrooms on any hole? This course is part of the hilton and they should spend some money to update the course.
greens somewhat long
Great little course. The greens would not roll.grass uncut for awhile. Other than that I loved it.
a little gem
Challenging little course. Not very long, but will definitely make you pay for errant shots. Enjoyed the round and will play again after they finish with the rehab of the greens.
great 9 hole course
This course is a fun challenging 9 hole course with alot of ups and downs and challenging chips to the small sloping greens. I look forward to playing again soon.
