Unplayable
This course is difficult when the course is in pristine condition.
On the day we played the course should have been closed pending maintenance.
The grass in the first cut of rough was 8' to 10" high and thick enough to make rope. The fairways were littered with clumps of cuttings which made it necessary to lift, clean and place.
We were cheated from having an enjoyable round of golf.
Not to mention the fact that we lost more golf balls that day than we had for the entire season.
We wouldn't play this course again if it were free and they supplied the golf balls.
You'll say Wow ! Great hole, great view
Great scenic golf
Choice of clubs is important as accuracy should be your main objective.
Walkable though with all those hills better take a cart
Greens are small so again accuracy and approach shots are very important.
Bring a camera there are some background shots that you will want to remember
Humbling Experience
The course has an attractive appeal due to the location at the base of the Catalina Mountains but the effects of the mountains are dramatic on the greens (which are small). It is fun to play but if scoring is the objective it can be a very humbling experience.
This course is very well maintained.
This course is very challenging for new golfers but a must play to sharpen one's skills.
The best 9 hole course in Tucson
You will not find a better mountain style course for the money. Limited practice facility. Great golf.
Great day
Cloudy day w threats of rain, so not too busy. Great conditions for the 9hole only course. Electric fume less carts. This corse demands accuracy of shot. Elevated greens w steep roll offs, shots over lots of desert where you can easily lose many balls.fairways are rolling and often tilted. But short!
9 Holes of Challenging plush Golf!
It is a course that continues to climb upward and is nestled in the catalina foothills. You have all the beauty in the world! The greens are perfect no complaints there! Fairways are awesome.
fun
this was much need great mountian veiws i love this course
Good course at a good price
The staff greeted me with a cart and a cup of ice in the parking lot. All staff members were friendly and useful. The course is challenging for a novice like me but not impossible to do well. Course has many elevation changes as well. Fun to play!
We enjoyed most aspects of the course, particularly the views. Grass was a little long!
We have played the course several times in the past and always enjoy it. Views are spectacular. Greens are mostly downhill back to front and what seems like a good shot may end up rolling off the green into a bunker, or into the water on hole #5. So course knowledge is a must. Also snake awareness is very important, Bermuda was being cut and in some places there were many piles of grass, which is understandable during monsoon season. It would be nice if some sort of driving range could be added at Pusch Ridge, even if you hit the balls into a net.
Fun and challenging
Staff was extremely friendly, I will go back just because of how nice they were. Course wasn't in the greatest shape but it is the middle of summer in AZ so not surprising. I kept putting off going here just because of the fact that its only a 9 hole course, but I had a great time, the course was fun and I will definitely be back
Thiis is a challengng course for a new player (handicap 19.9N)
The course is very well maintained; I played alone, was allowed to go at 7:30 with an 8:25 Tee time....finished 9 holes in 1 1/2 hr.
Had a great time
tough 9 hole course
very scenic with views of Tucson and valley. But there were patches of very thin grass and even no grass on fairways.Greens were not quite back from aeration but were quick and mostly true.Enjoyed the higher elevation and cool breezes next to the Catalina mtns
Scenic, Challenging course*
*For beginners. Only been golfing for a year, so there were a few holes where the fairway is the same size as the green. For me, it was difficult. Very scenic, some wildlife (I saw a road runner).
Good little Course
This course is fine. The staff was rather rude and the condition could use some attention. The greens were just worked on and were bumpy to say the least.
Small angular greens are challenging
Very enjoyable 9 hole course with several blind fairways and challenging greens due to their location or surface angles. Course is under some maintenance work- but it did not detract from the experience. Local views are worthy of note as well. Staff was very friendly. Cart staff met me at my vehicle and provided ice for the cooler and in cups for on the course. If you enjoy a cigar while golfing- bring one, the club house doesn't carry them anymore.
This course is a good challenge.
This course is a good challenge. It is not do beginners, and it will also make you work on the putting green. Great little course!
Tight 9 hole course.
The course is in great shape like always. The course is unforgiving to wayward shots however. Greens are good.
Great Value and well maintained.
This course is actually a 9 hole course. The value is unbeatable and the course was well maintained. Staff was very friendly and professional. Even though the tee times were full we were able to play comfortably and were not waiting to tee off either.
Fun place to play
Surprisingly tough and longer than I expected. Great views.
