El Conquistador Golf & Tennis - Pusch X9 Course

We have played at this course many times and this is the best the course has looked. We love playing here for the gorgeous mountain views (and of course the good value too!). We feel very fortunate to have this available to us in Oro Valley, Az.

Was a nice course to play,not very crowded in the afternoon when we played. It is a little bit tight for any one that hits a long ball, a lot of houses a long the fairways.

Challenges with elevated greens and undulating fairways

This is a 9-hole course that you go around twice for 18. The scenery is spectacular. I walked but it has lots of hills and is one of the more difficult to to walk.

I hit a bad tee shot on the finishing par three on this past Sunday (10:30 AM) morning so I hit a mulligan. When I got back to the clubhouse, the guy working in the pro shop wanted to charge me for an additional 9 holes because I hit a mulligan. He said he saw me hit two tee balls on the last hole and that constituted me having to pay for an additional 9 holes. I did not pay the fee and I will never play Pusch Ridge Golf Course again.

Love this course, its short but challenging with tight fairways and some sloped fairways and elevation changes. Its usually in good condition especially in the winter. Pace of play gets a backed up on busy weekends but if you can get in off peak its one of my favorite north side courses. The views are amazing.

Course is in best shape I've seen it in 10 years and I wanted to play somewhere it did not take 2.5 hours for 9.

good course for golfers with limited golf experience, beautiful views. would have preferred not to be paired with another twosome slowed down our play time considerably

One nice thing is we had the course all to ourselves. Most issues were a result of recent overseed so the grasses need to develop. A very scenic course with Pusch Ridge backdrop. But the course felt like it was an older design. Not near as nice as the Canada and Conquistador-now that we crossed it off our bucket list we don't have to play it again.

Even though this course is relatively short it's very challenging.
It is fairly well maintained and a pleasure to play, Play the back
tees and this course will test your metal!!

Greens are very tricky and the fairways are tighter than they appear. Houses are right off the roughs, straight shots are a must. A PGA pro would have a rough time on this course.

I found the course on price. My first round was great, and the staff got me on again to play a second with no problem. The staff is easy going and prfesional , the coarse for me is wonderful. If i could I would play there every day.
