Enjoyed playing golf at El conquistador-Quinata
Teeboxs and greens in good shape. Some fairways are layed out strange
Good game
The course was in great shape especially the tea boxes and greens. The only fault I would say are the fairway numbers. All fareway numbers were off, if you are on hole number three it would say four, if you are a hole number 7 it would say eight.
COVID Conditions
The course is in mediocre shape, but that is because of the COVID pandemic (or at least that is my surmise). The course has not had sufficient watering to maintain the good conditions of the fairways that you would normally expect of this course. There were many 'butch' areas in the fairways and approach areas. The greens, however, were generally in very good condition even though they were a bit slow on the day I played them. Tied to a resort, it is understandable that the course is not going to get attention when the resort is operating at 20% capacity. Hopefully, we all get through this pandemic and resorts can return to profitability.
Thank you for your review. It has certainly been an interesting season with a lack of rainfall to date. We are working on sodding and fertilizing to fill in some turf areas at this time and will be back in excellent shape in a very short time frame.
Nice course and great value for the money. Bunkers could use some sand and I’m hoping by fall season that will happen.

Cart service
The beverage cart should have been around more than once through 18 holes. I think I saw the cart on 4 and then on 17 again. The course was pretty empty.

Greens + Cup
The greens were in very good condition.
However every hole had a ridge around the cup area. The ground about 3 inches all around the cup was raised because when the plug for the hole was pulled out the ground around it raised up just enough to cause the ball to move. I think there's a plate type device you can stand on when you pull the plug out and it should be used.

Early died of thirst on the course
Course was in alright condition, staff was friendly. Temp was 110 and there was no water on the course (umderstandable) but we didn’t see a cart girl until the 16th green. That is not only unacceptable but also dangerous.
