Crooked Tree Golf Course in Tucson has a traditional layout in a secluded, peaceful location with no homes around the course for miles. The golf course features player-friendly, generous fairways and small greens that are surrounded by ample chipping areas. Located in the Sonoran Desert, there are ironwoods, mesquites, and saguaros situated throughout, providing a beautiful landscape and a relaxing atmosphere. It is no wonder that Crooked Tree Golf Course is one of the most popular public golf courses in Arizona.

Would play again.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Practice facilities are excellent. Fees are average for the area, but we found AZ golf is more costly than many other areas around the country, especially this time of the year. Greens excellent, fairways excellent, rough not good; in most areas it's so bouncy that if forces you to drive on the fairways. This course is suitable for both beginners and advanced players. There is ample parking, but bag drop is not convenient and you have to carry your bags quite a ways which makes it inconvenient if you have physical challenges. The course was very busy and we started 30 minutes late, but pace of play was good after we got started.
No more bunkers
It’s unfortunate that all of the bunkers on the course are now filled in with grass, even around the greens. This makes it feel less like a golf course

Frost delay
We went off over an hour late and were unable to finish. Asked for a 9 hole rain check and we’re told they don’t offer them. I had asked while paying if there was time to finish and the gentleman behind the counter said “ yes, no problem “. They need to review their Policy, terrible Customer service.

Meh
Open public track with all their bunkers filled in. (??). 4:45 round, and one group 3 holes in front was responsible; but no Marshall. Windy day, and the 10 fairway is immediately adjacent the driving range with no netting. Lots of balls on the fairway there. Glad we played it I guess, but will not return.

Poor managed
No drinking water on coarse, sand traps halfway filled with dirt

Good value for the $. They were running 1:30 minutes behind but didn't call or email us though.

Tucson Golf
Course was a good value for the green fee. They no longer have sand in the traps and have planted grass in them, however course still provides plenty of challenge. Pretty views, fast greens.

bunkers
I thought the grass bunkers were an eye sore to a good looking course Very disappointed

Nice Course
The course was in good shape and the pace of play was good. The only complaint I have is as a 70 year old man, the course is too long from the middle tees. I could play forward or combo tees, but often play with my wife who plays the forward tees so don't feel I should play the same tees as her. Another set of tees would be nice for women.
