always consistent
This is my second favorite course in Tucson. The greens always seem to roll true and are in decent shape most of the time ( unless you follow the "regulars" who seem to never fix their ball marks). The staff is usually very friendly and the beverage cart ladies are always pleasant and friendly. Have yet to be teamed up with any miserable or unbearable players..All in all a very pleasant experience and a well maintained course.
Perfect putting surfaces.
Course is in the best shape I can remember. The greens especially...Goodness they putted well. Nicely done to the greens keepers and the rest of the staff.
Long El Rio
Nothing special...but OK. Fairways were less than stellar, but greens were pretty good. Play was a little.slow , which is kind of a sore spot for me. ( pick it up and move on when the group behind you is staring you down every hole. )
( ranger...what ranger? )
Got a Hot-Deal , through Golf Now....$42.00 + fees...= $49.00. Way too much for this course. If you can get a tee time , this time of year , for $35.00 , or less , go for it. $50.00! , never again.
Local Favorite
My round at Crooked Tree was very enjoyable. The course was in good shape, the greens rolled well and they always have very well maintained areas around the greens. This is good for a player like me because I don't hit many greens in regulation! The holes are interesting and varied and I love the fact that there are no buildings on it.....just beautiful open desert. If you have never played this course, make a tee time and go play, you'll love it!
straight forward
This course is so close to my home and i have never played it,just goes to show you sometimes the best things are right in front of your nose. watch out for those speed bumps driving into the course sheesh..Really nice practice areas.
Staff great and let me play with a three some going out early, course in excellent shape with greens rolling true, bunkers a little rough. only complaint is the old guys in front of us who were two holes down,ok maybe not that old but they were slowwwww.
Good course for the money
Play here often. People are great and course is one of the best in Tucson for the money
day in sun
Good Sat at the course and met very nice people. Play was 4.25, a little slow.
Great Public Course
Staff was very friendly and helping. Practice facilities, tee boxes, fairways and green were in excellent shape. Nice wide open course, just keep it out of the desert.
Good solid course
Greens were in good shape albeit a little small. Fairways were average for this time of year.
Crooked Tree disappointed a local
This course's conditions were less than expected. Crooked Tree had a good reputation for being well maintained. Only the greens were in good-excellent condition. Fairways were not overseeded well and were compromised by carts being allowed on the fairways despite recent rainy and soggy days.
Course conditions
The fairways were in good shape. The greens were very shaggy for three weeks after opening after over seeding. The sand traps were in terrible shape with more mud than sand. This is a fun course to play, but is somewhat over priced for its condition.
Crooked Tree
The practice facilities were immaculate. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The fairways were well groomed. The greens were gorgeous, though a bit slow. The layout and length were not over challenging, which kept the pace moving. The carts were new and worked really well. Oh, and the woman on the cart was really cute and very friendly. Great course for the cost.
really great after reseed
I've mentioned to several other courses to put small sign as you get out of cart to approach green, REPAIR DIVOTS. I repair many before and while waiting to putt.
Relaxing day
The course was in excellent condition except for the greens which were a little shaggy. But that is to be expected at this time of year as they are growing them back in after brutal summer heat. I imagine in a week they will be great. Bunker sand could stand some refreshing as well but overall a fun course.
Crooked Tree after overseed
Crooked Tree had a good overseed over tees and fairways. Bermuda was still full. Greens were very slow . We enjoy the layout and played the black/white combo . We had 8 players and scored between 72 80 which is normal. Think when greens get cut down will be very good. Everyone at CT is very helpful..
forgiving course
This course is challenging & forgiving @ the same time. A very good course to improve your game.
over seeding
got what we expected with over seeding. a fun course for us beginners.
Very Rough
Played while crew was preparing to over seed. Course was brown. greens were very very bumpy, no good grass on greens. Pace of play was slow. In all fairness to the golf course I think I will give it another chance later in the year.
