crooked tree
I thought the course was in great shape, the greens rolled nice. The staff was very friendly and courteous, we had a great round and a good time, I would recommend this course to a friend.
Fun course to play
They've worked to improve course conditions since the last time I played here (2 years ago). Course was in very good shape. Not a challenging course with the exception of a couple water holes - but that's fine for me and my game. Only concern I have is the close proximity of the practice range to #10. I saw numerous range balls out by the fairway. A bit unnerving to be that close to people hitting from the practice range.
Other than that, I find CT to be a pleasant, fun course to play.
Good track for the money
Really good shape, I was almost surprised. Gordon and the gang do good stuff here. Great practice area, huge practice green, and they know how to cook them some bacon in the grill for breakfast. Sometimes a round can take waaaaybtoo long but not this time, even with newbies in front of my group. Nicely done.
Crooked Tree desert course
Crooked Tree GC is a relatively long desert course with little or no elevation changes. Moderate amount of water to play over and around. Fairways were in good condition and well mowed. Grass off the fairways was somewhat sparse but it is early spring. Bunkers were fairly flat and sand is extremely course. Practice facilities were excellent. Enjoyed playing Crooked Tree and look forward to doing it again.
Nothing fancy, but a nice course.
I thought this was an above average public course ....no frills. The fairways were ok as were the greens...it was somewhat more playable if you mishit. Nice having a REAL restaurant and bar that was open after 3:00 PM(beer&wine only). My only complaint was NOT allowing golf carts in the parking lot. Also the course is pretty flat so is a good walking course.
Dry and dusty
Good greens and fairways but the "rough" is hard dusty desert and the ball bounds an additional 50 yards into oblivion. Not a pretty course. Kinda bare bones golf, same as it was a couple of years ago. Overpriced for what you get.
Do not spent your money there.....
Very old course, club house, fairwys are OK green in good shape and small, if you stay in the fairway it must be ok but if you don't it's horible, no maintenace in the rough and in very poor condition. For $45 you can play m uch nicer courses.
Very nice course with friendly and helpful staff is hurt by not having course ranger.
this is a very , very nice course that has one irritating drawback: Slow play. What would it take to have a ranger monitor golfers ? I mentioned this to staff and they seem to think that this would insult their customers. I have never felt insulted when urged to keep up or let others play through. At one point there were 3 foursomes at one tee.
Very slow play
Play was very slow.
A group of PGA official rating the course were very discourteous.
Good course.
Not too difficult, but still challenging.
Greens were great
For the money this was the best greens I've putted on in a long time .
Slow slow slow slow
Never again will I play this course. Buck up and pay for a ranger. I never played such a slow round of golf in my life. When on every hole you are the third or fourth group off the tee you have a series problem. We talked to Brian after the round and expressed our concerns and he could of cared less. He told us this is normal for a weekend. It would not be normal if you paid for a ranger Brian. This place is a nightmare for anyone that wants to play golf in 4 to 4 and a half hours now if you like staying outside all day and getting a tan play here. The only good thing is they have a beverage cart out and about. The pace is so slow that most golfers are drunk by hole 11 then this slows down the pace as well.
Great course
This is a great course for the value. The greens were like putting on a carpet. Extremely smooth, rolled putts across the green without bounce or change in direction. Really a fun course.
Great Golf
Fairways are forgiving, greens in excellent shape, bit hard and medium slow putting
Better than most
Greens, fairways and tees in fine condition. Greens a little slow but still a challenge. Had a great day and we will be back. Go look at the first hole landing area before you hit your drive.
A Solid Municipal Course
It was an enjoyable course to play. The greens were in great shape. The fairways were mostly good. The rough is rough. The staff is friendly. The pace of play was a bit slow, but not terrible. The terrain is flat and not all that scenic. The value was good.
Nice place for a public course
Course has nice facilities for warming up. Friendly staff. Start time was on the money. Pace of play was good. Place was busy for a weekday. Paired with a pair of locals and had an enjoyable time. Greens and fairways were good. Winter grass was still a little rough. Areas off that were not very playable. Walking away from the tee boxes on some holes were hard on the ankles. Otherwise okay.
Excellent Greens
All of the greens were in excellent condition and consistent. Fairways were good condition. Bunkers needed some sand. We played in a three some and had several foursomes in front of us and played in 3:55 hours on a weekday.
Fun course
The course was in very good shape. The greens putted great and they were consistent. Pace of play was very good.
A fun round
This is a fun course played by many locals. One of the few courses in the area that is easily walkable. Greens were nice, but rather hard, so you need to allow for some roll on approach shots.
