I play this course because of the mens club. Good range maintained well. The restaurant has a very limited selection. This course maintenance is making some progress to repair itself due to the lack of attention given. With the rising prices in the green fees this course is way over priced for your golf dollar.
Whom ever is managing needs to take a very hard look at what it means to run a quality facility.
Lots of dirt between tees to greens
We showed up 20 minutes early before our tee time and checked in at the desk and the grumpy guy said we need to hurry up and get to the tee box because he had paired us up with a couple. We teed off and the couple playing with us were not good players at all- beginners. They were constantly in the desert looking for their balls and slowed us down to the point of stacking up groups behind us. No Marshall on the course also no beer cart. I am not going back there again as they can’t pay for enough help to make the course worthwhile. Also the grill is closed and only sell hot dogs.
Friendly rough
In most cases, tee shots that miss the fairway can still be found and played easily.
Sunday ay Crooked Tree
First of all I have played this coarse many times maybe 5-10 years ago frequently for about 2 years and it’s not the same. We got to the coarse about 10 minutes early and the club house check in directed us that we need to get to # 1 tee box immediately We used to come early for a delicious breakfast and now the grill is closed indefinitely, The fairways are run down and have a lot of dirt that you have to play on, but the greens were very nice to put on.The golf course doesn’t have any more sand traps as it was probably a maintenance issue along with when you went into a trap they were hard as a rock and most times filled with water from the greens, and you could not use a wedge to get out without sculling it way over the green, this was a modification that I liked but, there is not a beverage cart running any longer and I decided it’s definitely time to scratch this coarse off of my preferred golfing adventures and go play where you feel comfortable. There are many more golf courses that will gladly take way better care of you than this run down property.
Crooked Tree
The course is in good shape… there is not a beverage cart and we need to bring our own
Still the best value in the Old Pueblo
Just solid. Green’s on great shape. Fairways nice as well. Decent pricing in the restaurant. Everything for a solid relaxed round. Plus, I left my rangefinder in the cart and they had it the next day! Great service.
Crooked tree
Tee boxes and greens were in good shape . A lot of bars spots in if not in the fairways
Super slow Saturday
Windy and soooo slow..3 groups on every hole. 4 hours to play 13 holes before we called it quits. No sign of a course ranger either. Really wish they kept the sand in the bunkers instead of letting them go. Fun course normally though.
Bring a pillow
Course is in great shape and good bang for your buck but plan on an almost 5 hour round with the geriatric pace of play of 250+ tee times a day
Good course, plenty challenging and great value
Was a solid course for the money. Was in pretty good shape. Played from the tips and it was pretty challenging. Finished 18 on a Saturday morning in just about 4.5 hours. Greens, fairways and tee boxes were in good shape. I would recommend this course, especially for the value. They also have a nice driving range and practice area for putting and chipping.
