River Club is a popular Ron Garl-designed golf course famous for its unique moundings and positioning of grass and pot bunkers. Front nine are open with all elevated greens. River Club's back nine at are cut into the woods. There is water on 16 holes.

Fun Course But Poorly Managed

We've had periodic problems at this course before with waiting for carts to come back in and slow play but this round was the worst!

Took 3 hours to play 9 holes and it wasn't like the groups in front of us were to blame. Every group we could see (probably 4 or 5) were waiting. No, I blame the management for over booking tee times and not leaving sufficient time between groups.

After 9 holes we couldn't take it anymore and headed back to the club house. But do you think there was any chance of getting a credit? Absolutely not!

Management only thinks about one thing...revenue. It's really a shame because I like the course and often bring my out of town guests, but no more. I'm done with this place!

This is Tony the owner, and you are completely misrepresenting the way we do business. We do not over book tee times, we maintain 8 minute spacing, and do our best to move players along. We get as many complaints about rangers doing their jobs as we do for them not doing their jobs. Please read other reviews for a better understanding of who we are. We are known for being a great value. Making baseless accusations is not helpful.

Not bad course but slow

The first impression was nice course but the starter was not the nicest person. You’re not allowed to use your cart until a minute before your tee time. Not even to go to the practice range which is not close by. The group in front of us played from the blue tees and would drop another ball if they had a bad shot. And they had plenty. Then a group of locals behind us playing from the forward tees hit up on us 4 times. No ranger to speed up or slow down the play. The course was just in decent shape and had a few tricky holes but overall playable. It took over 5 hours to play a round.

Pretty Good

Overall pleasant round. Carts wouldn’t let you go to the range before the round from the geofencing which seems like an oversight. Very friendly staff, course wasn’t immaculate, but was generally happy with it. A few challenging holes and fewer easier ones. Lots of tee boxes, I think the fronts were juniors, but maybe pack em up til they’re on course. Either way, would recommend and will be back.
