The River Club

First, the price. For $35 or so for a noon tee time, I was skeptical on quality of course. Ive played dog tracks that charge $40+. This course was largely superb all around. The Eagles up in Odessa charges more than this course(I think double) and is, in my opinion, half the quality. The greens were tricky to figure out on the front, but likely because im bad and they offer a challenge, which is fun. Everyone that worked here that we interacted with was super friendly and super helpful. Water coolers throughout the course, cart service, and a "half way" snack shack with burgers/dogs/beverages. I can see why this course stays busy. If they keep providing this level of value and customer service, I will gladly drive the hour and 20 minutes to come back regularly. The layout is tight and challenging, but feels very rewarding when you play smart shots. Well done, keep up the good work

Everyone we encounter could not have been nicer. The course was fun to play and was in very good condition. Excellent value. We had lunch afterwards and I would also highly recommend. Great day

Showed up very early to our tee time hoping to get out a little early and saw that the course was jam packed. Sat in the bar waiting for what looked like a large outing or tournament go out, and the staff handled it smoothly. The lady in the bar was pleasant, the ProShop was informative, the bag guys were friendly and all had a smile on their face. We ended up going out right at our tee time, saw the ranger a couple times and saw the bevevwrage cart girl a few times. The course is one of a kind, hidden gem in the area. Will absolutely be back.

I don’t normally leave reviews but have to shout out River club. The staff are friendly, the course is kept in really good shape My group showed up pretty early hoping to get out early and saw they were jam packed. Sat in the bar waiting for a pretty big league or outing, which they seemed to handle smoothly and we went out right on our tee time. It was busy saw the ranger and beverage cart a few times each, everything was organized and moved along. Definitely one of the better run courses around. Hopefully they don’t go private

Golf course is usually in Great Condition, has an excellent layout, but this time the course was under water on just about every hole , was never briefed about playing Condition, and no beverage cart on a Holiday, poor management, about the playing day, but I will return to the course.

Poor service and we’ll never play here again as there are too many other nice courses in the area that treat their paying customers with dignity and respect.

If the staff is going to allow play on such a wet course the price should reflect the conditions. It was so muddy and wet you would loose your ball in the fairway. This is miserable conditions when you are trying to get a practice round in. The greens were not horrible but we were out before too many other players. The grounds crew were running wood chippers while you are swinging. Coolers are not allowed but there was no beverage cart. I don’t plan to go back anytime soon.

Great course, friendly service from the Point of pulling in the drive, and checking in for the round in the clubhouse! The service was top notch from Jill at the bar and throughout the course . We will definitely be back as we truly enjoyed the course!

The River Club is a narrow course with beautiful landscaping and natural features. It is reasonable priced for the conditions and size of it.

May be too difficult for beginners. I think is a great layout. Will certainly kick your butt if you hit a bad shot a the wrong time. Overall very fair golf course.

The new ownership has improved the property since I last played it. They are doing a great job and I was very impressed. Keep up the good work, I highly recommend anyone looking for a round to consider River Club

River Club has one of the best staff's around. From the parking lot to the pro shop, the cart girls, the dining room everyone is engaged and helpful. The course is a great track with challenges but options on almost every hole. They really seem focused on golfers having a good experience and making a round easy to play.
