The River Club

My wife and I had a wonderful day playing this course. Played with a fellow and local named Tony. What a nice person to play with. He helped us a lot cause he’s played the course many times. And the staff was exceptional. From the Pro shop to the cart boy’s and the starter, who gave us a gps cart when we didn’t have one. These are the kind of people you expect to see no matter where you go. And the day was beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Have played several area courses over the past couple weeks and the conditions at River Club are BY FAR the BEST!!!

Beautiful day to play golf. The course was in good shape. Only negative was our 10:12 tee time was delayed about 30 minutes as an early morning shotgun was finishing up.

First time playing this course, pace of play was so slow we quit after 11 holes.

Played here years ago but wasn't too impressed. Was told it had improved so gave it another shot. Greens were small and slow with little undulation. A couple were in bad shape and had a lot of sand on them. Sand traps hadn't been raked in a while, very annoying and such an easy fix. No masks worn by Bag Drop or statrter so no tips from me. If you are on a buget I guess this course is ok but there are better courses for the money.

Like many other reviews have said this course stacks people up on the first tee. There were literally 6 groups on the first tee when we went up to the tee. 6 GROUPS! I have never seen such a thing.

It's and easily solvable problem that they choose not to fix. We were backed up throughout the first 2/3 of the course as you would expect with groups teeing off with no space in front of them. The cart situation was also crazy, they couldn't find a range cart for us to go to the range and we had to wait, And then they couldn't find a GPS cart for the course for us but did find one eventually.

Once we got out I was a fan of the course. The greens were great, fairways were good - and they were both better than Rosedale which was $20 more across the street. The long drives through the housing development were a negative.

I would be back for the course - a good value and a good course - but only in the off season.

Too many tee times. Too many old people playing slow and no Marshall speeding up play. Only got 14 holes in bc of the pace of play. Greens are fuzzy like some of the other reviews and are hard to put on.

I have used Golf Now for at least 6 years and many times per year and have never been told I couldnt check in until less than 15 minutes before tee time. This made us a little late to get to the 1srt tee and we lost our place to start.We shouldnt be treated as 2nd class customers and if you dont want us, why do you use Golf Now? Also, there is no food or drink on the course and this was a full Saturday

Played the River Club for the first time yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. In very good condition with plenty of grass for January. Not overly difficult from the white tees if you drive the ball straight. A lot of variety of holes with doglegs, straight holes and unique bunkering. And for the price a bargain. The 16th island green par 4 is a great hole made even better by the flock of sandhill cranes that stood by and watched us putt. Will definitely be back.

When I mentioned in my previous review that staff should be more Covid friendly by wearing masks you replied that they were. It is simply not true.

The boys loading the clubs were not. The starter was not. The cart girl was not. The owner was not

The girl in the office checking people in put one on. I did not go into the bar.

Also I did not notice hand sanitizer anywhere.

I pointed this out because I thought it was important, not necessarily to criticize, but to bring it to your attention. I hope you appreciate that. .

Great course. Staff friendly. However could be Covid friendlier. Staff not wearing masks.

Course is in decent shape for January. Some of the greens need some work. Compared to last year, the course is shaping up!!! Keep up the good work. The only problem is they won't check you in or give you a cart until 15 minutes before the round. But there were at least 10 unused carts in the cart area lined up ready for use.
