18th Green at Queen's Harbour Photo submitted by mcstanley78 on 08/09/2013
a great place to test your game. Played with 20 somethings that believed they could handle the tips.... No chance
Round cancelled without notice
I booked our round thru GolfNow and once again the round was cancelled without any notification to me. I paid the convenience fee in order to book through GolfNow. So I loose this fee and do not get to play golf. Seems like there should be some kind of notification process and at least a credit for the convenience fee added to my account.
Great test for your game
Conditions at this course are terrific. Greens roll nicely and fairways and tees are always in great shape. There is a lot of undulations to each green which will challenge your game. I wish most courses took care of their course the way queens does. I will continue to play out there regularly.
Great conditions
Queens conditions are always too notch. Tough greens to putt, lots of break to them.
First time through
Really enjoyed the course! All of the staff were helpful and friendly. The fairways and greens were in excellent shape! My only real complaint was the food and drinks were crazy high, but still a nice day of golf!
QH in Good Condition
Read mix reviews on conditions but played today and course is in good condition. Greens rolled nicely. Would definitely recommend.
Queens is not the Queens it used to be
I’ve played this course numerous times a year for the last 7 years, and was even a member for a few years. The course conditions have gone downhill quite a bit. Tee boxes have always been a sore spot at times here, and that continues to be true. Fairways, although in good shape, have had some kind of pesticide or weed killer spilled on it in many places on many holes and the result is patches of dead grass, and at times large areas of it. Weeds are growing in places that make it look like a municipal course. Rough is weedy and long, like a municipal course. Greens are always nice here, but they’re recovering from being punched, and I wouldn’t expect during that to pay $70 for a twilight tee time, but her we are. Course overall needs some help.
Queens Harbor
Well everything was good until the Starter told us that we had to pay for a rider fee for my 2 year old grandson like he was making a difference rider in the cart to charge me $27 I thought that was unnecessary.
Great course
My club pro recommended this course and it didn’t disappoint. Greens ran true and was an enjoyable course to play. Will definitely visit again when I’m back. Great track for the price.
Overall the course is in decent playing condition. The only wrinkle is that the greens have not totally grown in from the aeration of weeks ago, and they are slow in addition to being bumpy. With an 11:15 A.M. tee time, we played the course in 4 hours and weren’t pushed from behind. I was a single and played with three affable guys. It being summer in Florida, you know going in that it will be hot and humid…no fault of the course.
I’ve played Queens Harbour many times and will continue to do so.
