About
Windy Harbor Golf Club is a military golf course located at the Mayport Naval Station, it was formerly known as the Mayport Golf Club. The seaside course now takes its name from the blustery ocean breezes that sweep through the back nine. The golf course is narrow with tree-lined fairways and large, fast greens that are slightly sloped. There is also a defined cut of rough beside every fairway. Greenside bunkers and water hazards that come into play on nearly every hole make the course challenging for players of all abilities. Windy Harbor Golf Club also has practice facilities for golfers to use that include a driving range with grass and carpeted practice tees, a practice sand trap, and a large putting green.

Golfnow is expensive
Golfnow.com charged me $8 to make a tee time for a threesome. Ridiculous.
Love that the condition of the course is consistent from first tee to the 18th green,tee boxes and fairways are very good,greens roll nicely
Do not play here without a military ID
Was not specified that you needed a military ID, couldn’t get on the course, 0/10 from GolfNow

Course will be ready
The course is prepared for the weather to warm and produce great golf!!
GN Players beware
Course is in good shape and greens are OK for winter play however, beware if you book through Golf now. The mgmt. there does not like GN bookings and will not let you tee off until your exact time even if there are no groups or bookings ahead of you. They say "it is the governments fault and there is nothing they can do about it", but it is just local mgmt decision. Other courses will let you go ahead and tee if the tee box is open.
I would give them all 5 stars but with no bathrooms on the front 9 I just can’t. They have been out of commission for way too long… pace of play was good this time. But tends to always be slow on front 9. My favorite place to play. Just enough challenging to keep you coming back for more
Fun course
I try to play here once every 10 days or so because of the value and because if you it the ball pretty good you can score, today was windy and cool but I shot six bogeys and two birdies which is really good for me.... I recommend this course
Needs better starting management
The course is a great value and fun to play. The problem is the management of starting play with too many twosomes and singles. There are many seniors who play this course and the pace of play can be slow. The twosomes get aggravated and push these foursomes into a pace that makes it tough to enjoy your round if you are matched with the seniors or slower players.
Lived up to its name!
Windy Harbor lived up to its name today! Quite a lot of golfers today, but after about 3 holes it seemed to spread out ok. Beverages on course very expensive compared to buying inside Bogeys. Paired with two nice gentlemen. Very enjoyable round.
