About
Windy Harbor Golf Club is a military golf course located at the Mayport Naval Station, it was formerly known as the Mayport Golf Club. The seaside course now takes its name from the blustery ocean breezes that sweep through the back nine. The golf course is narrow with tree-lined fairways and large, fast greens that are slightly sloped. There is also a defined cut of rough beside every fairway. Greenside bunkers and water hazards that come into play on nearly every hole make the course challenging for players of all abilities. Windy Harbor Golf Club also has practice facilities for golfers to use that include a driving range with grass and carpeted practice tees, a practice sand trap, and a large putting green.

Best Kept Secret in Jacksonville Golf
It is worth paying the extra $20 for the MWR card. This is a course that is an AMAZING value on a Saturday or Sunday morning. The back is a little longer, and more challenging than the front. You are guaranteed to use every shot you have in your bag.
Unfriendly clubhouse staff.
The clubhouse check in staff isn't friendly. However the starters were very accommodating and friendly.
MILITARY ONLY
For the people who don’t know what MWR is, this course is military only. Not sure why it’s even on this app. DONT BOOK HERE
Greens faster
Greens looked aerated within last couple weeks however faster than they look, especially downhill putts. Fairways looking good!
Bang for your buck
It was hot but the course had a nice breeze as it is close to the ocean. Nice layout with long and short holes.
I’m a little partial as I learned how to golf here in 1970 with Dave Hull s the pro.
Only Mark down on the condition of the course was it has been recently aerated and some sand too. Putts rolled nice but hey, there’s holes to go thru.
Enjoyed the round
Good value for the money
Good value for the money however it can get crowded and therefore playing becomes very slow. I would like to see a ranger to speed some groups up .
They need to water!!!
I’ve never seen the fairways look so dry and this is unusual for them
Course looks good
Course looks good they’ve done a lot of work to it and it’s much better than most around
Good course
Good course however some days can be quite busy which causes slow play. Need to see a ranger more to keep the pace up.
NS Mayport
Best deal in town. GPS and radio in the cart. Course is in great shape. The greens were freshly punched but still rolled true. The proshop has good swag at reasonable prices.

Had a great time, played the course once decades ago, really enjoyed it…nice layout
The Name is Real “Windy Harbor”
Great time with friends. Staff was great. The course had a lot hazards that you couldn’t see, but they did had GPS and a layout, so it was fair…Enjoyed it will be back soon…
