Golfer Reviews
Great course
My club pro recommended this course and it didn’t disappoint. Greens ran true and was an enjoyable course to play. Will definitely visit again when I’m back. Great track for the price.
Overall the course is in decent playing condition. The only wrinkle is that the greens have not totally grown in from the aeration of weeks ago, and they are slow in addition to being bumpy. With an 11:15 A.M. tee time, we played the course in 4 hours and weren’t pushed from behind. I was a single and played with three affable guys. It being summer in Florida, you know going in that it will be hot and humid…no fault of the course.
I’ve played Queens Harbour many times and will continue to do so.
Great course
Conditions were excellent. Pace was slow as that groups ahead of us were slow and terrible players. Completely recommend playing this challenging course.
Best shape I have seen it
The course was in immaculate condition. It plays tough and challenges the golfer on many holes.
Amazing track! Every hole is different and challenging in its own way. Keeps your attention throughout the round. Need to play here more!
Great layout and good test of skill
The course was super fun to play and not overly challenging but required some skill. The greens were fast due to dry conditions and recently aerated and sanded but overall didn't affect the putting to a significant degree. Other review seemed a bit harsh for good maintenance. The fairways and rest of the course were in great condition and worth the price. Definitely play again. You will have a hard time beating the scenic views.
Didn’t publish they just aerated
every course on GolfNow was publishing that they recently aerated. However, Queens Harbor did not publish that therefore I paid Their premium rate to play greens. They were in horrible condition because they were just punched. Integrity and being honest in your marketing and advertising. Every other local publisher information besides them:
Great day of golf
We’ve played Queens Harbour several times. The course was in great shape, starter and the inside bar staff and pro shop staff all friendly and helpful. The cart guys were basically there and that’s out it. Never asked to help get the clubs in or out of the car. When we returned the cart they said put it over there with getting up and their phone in their face. Obvious not worried about tips. That won’t stop us from coming back.
Fantastic Course
Course was in great shape. Greens were punched a few weeks ago, but didn’t effect play much at all. Fairways and tees were in great shape. Course had some challenging holes and the rough was fairly high which tested your scrambling ability. Recommend this course to anyone in area.
Great course!
Looking for a place to play in Jax and this was perfect. A hidden gem. Terrific- difficult but fair. Greens fast and true. Highly recommend
Not worth the price
Greens were sanded, staff in the pro shop was condescending and rude. Would not recommend
Jax resident who plays locally
I play a lot of courses in the area. This course is always fun to play. The greens were punched and sanded 7 days ago. But the held the ball pretty well for not having a lot of rain. They rolled fairly well. But they obviously weren’t smooth. The fairways and tees were in good shape. I always like this course.
Always a great course ... but
Great day to play. Weather perfect. Tee boxes and fairways were perfect. Except ... the holes were punched and sanded. Nothing was stated on the teeoff.com website about them being punched so that was a bit disappointing. It was already a "twilight" rate, but should have been discounted a bit further because of green conditions. Was a bumpy round. The other thing is that it seems almost everytime I play QH, the hold cutter is in a bad mood. Almost every hole was 3 paces or less from the edge of the green. (Some even under 8 ft. which made a difficult course, even more difficult with extremely tough pins and punched sandy greens.) It is what it is, but if the greens would have been rolling well, some of these pins would been almost impossible to even putt at. I know that sounds petty, and maybe so, but it always seems to be like that on the weekends.
Great Layout
Course has a great and challenging layout but the greens was just aerated and still got charged full price and didn’t get warned about the greens until we was driving up to first tee box
One temporary issue
Greens punched and heavily sanded previous day, so putting challenging, but great course
