Golfer Reviews
Fun course with great value
Played in the summer heat so it’s no surprise you can play quick here. Usually can play 18 in 2:15 or so. Cart is free which is pretty standard for central Florida. Course conditions standard for a muni in cf. Playable fairways, greens look good but play slow, except for 1 is pretty beat up. Staff is helpful and friendly.
My tee time cost $27 but I got a deal on golf now app. 18 under $30 is a steal for any course that is playable like this. I’ve played similar courses for $45. The only thing I’d say is it’s out of the way for most people being located in Kissimmee south west of Orlando but if you’re in the area or you have time to make the drive and get good gas mileage it’s worth a play. Has some interesting holes, a par three on the back nine has ~15-20 elevation from the tbox to the green with foliage in front so you can’t Mis hit and accidentally roll the ball up to the green. Lots of holes have forested areas flanking the fairway leading to the green so you get good practice punching out and cutting around trees from a leafy lie. Course is lacking water coolers but everything else is pretty standard. They have a nicely decorated pro shop and bar with a patio. The kitchen puts out decent food which is not so common at neighborhood courses like this.
Altogether I have made the 45 minute drive here to play twice now, I think I’ll probably be back again sometime.
3rd time is the charm?
This is the 3rd time I've played on this course because of the price I paid with a discount $28. First, my partner and I had a 7:52am tee time and there were about 10 people ahead of us which said they had tee times 2 or 5 minutes apart from ours. I knew they were lying and no staff checking tee times. Very disorganized on that matter. My partner and I decided to start from the back nine instead to fix the problem and only then, we get someone from the staff come after us because we were going to the back nine. If he was doing his job from the beginning this would not happen. After explaining to him the situation, he understood and sent us and three others to the back nine. After that early morning fiasco, it was the usual, the fairway was nicely kept but, some of the greens needed attention and looked like I was putting from the rough. All in all, for the money I can't complain. But if find any other course for a comparable price, I will pick the other course because of the aforementioned reasons.
GolfNow price good
The drought has hurt the tee boxes and fairways. Greens on front 9 have weeds and noway to putt well. Lots off water and almost on 75% of holes.
Go have fun
This is a course that is challenging and fun but is experiencing some problems with their greens. With improved greens this course would be great. Bunkers and sand trap are very playable and ubiquitous. Lots of water to keep you focused. We had a great time. We would be willing to pay more once the greens are nicer.
Past Prime
Like many courses Kissimmee Country Club likely has seen better days.
Rate based on late afternoon rate
Club appears to lack the capital for returning to better days. First 3 greens very patchy with bare spots. Traps not sand based in several instances. Fairways, heat has left minimal grass
Greens were in bad shape ! Everything else was good.
Course could use watering
Course had very dry conditions. Lots of run because of dryness. Greens could have been in better shape. Bunkers were difficult and could have deeper, softer sand. Not very busy and could get right out.
Nice
I had a 7am Tee time so no traffic ahead. I found the greens running a bit slow but the time of day was affecting that. Some bare patches on the fairways and some greens had damage but I find this a lot especially when golfers don't repair their own pitch marks then complain.
Avoid at all costs
This course is NOT worth 85 dollars. Do not play here for that ridiculous amount of money in the near the off season. Greens are crap, Bunkers are crap, floaters for range balls and the range doesn't get rotated often so your practicing off dirt, carts are old, cart paths are abysmal. This is a 45 dollar course in prime season at best. Don't waste your money go somewhere else
Challenging course
Greens weren't the best but not as bad as a lot of the affordable Orlando area courses. Accuracy off the tee is a must on this course, especially the back 9. Lot of water and dog legs. Had a 200p twosome tee time on a Saturday, it was crazy windy out but we finished in 3 hours with both of us shooting low 90s.
Fairways and tee boxes were good, greens were work in progress.
You get what you pay for
Great value and never busy but greens, fairways, boxes Nd bunkers could all do with some attention
I am very sorry your round did not live up to your expectations. We, like many in our area, are struggling with an extreme drought. We water every day, but its still not enough. Even though the course is maintaining its overall playability, I understand that in some places its not very pretty. Hopefully we get some rain soon, and see you again in the future. -Austin
