Okay course, starter needs to be better at managing large groups
Course was okay for the money. On a busy MLK day I signed up as a single and was supposed to tee off behind a group of 8 playing together (!), and the starter who looks confused and not sure how to manage the situation told me to start on the back 9 instead. I managed to squeeze in between 2 couples, one in the front and one in the back, and ended joining up with the couple behind me. The coupe in front of me was stuck behind a foursome for a while and ended giving up half way through the back 9, looking rather angry. Not sure how group management here works traditionally, but on a busy day like this, a. singles and couples should be paired up into foursomes as much as possible, and b. 2 foursomes (group of 8) should not be allowed to play together. When I got back to the front 9, the starter was no where to be found and there was another group of 8 playing together again (never seen this before anywhere else beside really cheap courses!), so I just skipped them on the first hole. Not sure if I want to come back given the experience I had. Outside of that, the course plays fine for the money you pay.
Terrible golf course
I have no idea how this course has a 4 star rating. I am a Golf Digest panelist and this may have been the worst course I have ever played, and I have played over 400.
I would rate this a 1, there was nothing good about it.
this course has features that require you to think
I've played the course in previous years. The quality and condition of the course hasn't improved - but the price to play has doubled.
I work at a golf course in Ohio, so I'm familar with the increased cost of equipment, labor and fuel. Employees are paid to work and we've been able to increase fees less that 25%
Great layout.
This golf course is the first one i have played in Florida this year, the pace of play was great, it has a wide range of tee boxes for all golfer averages. Fairways were in good conditions , greens are a little slow but in good shape, I enjoyed my round and will play it again.
Wet conditions
Course should have gone to cart path only. Very wet throughout. Greens were very good.
Very strange layout. Too many doglegs.
Very friendly staff.
Great starter round
This place was great for a starter round very friendly staff course was good greens were fast got us ready for Florida golf without paying too much
Value for money can be a couple of rough patchers worth a knock
Members ride in single carts
Everything was good. Biggest complaint was that the starter was trying to rush us on hole #1 and all the way through. We finished the front 9 in 1:45 min which is fast. We had 4 guys in two carts. The issue is that the starter can’t figure out that when you have a foursome behind you all in their own cart (1 person per cart) it speeds up play. We took gimmies and didn’t re hit and shot in the low 80’s so we were great at our pace. But you can’t be on someone when everyone gets their own cart. I was told that members got in their contract they get one per cart and I’ve never seen that anywhere. Terrible idea and members should not complain when there is a 4 some ahead playing fast but in two carts. I would fix this. Overall good place and other than started everyone was awesome. Even some of the employees mentioned to us that riding in one cart per person was wrong. But they could not fix it.
