Kiss Bay
We would recommend this course to friends but yesterday the pace of play was at a snail’s pace!
We left after the 13th hole as we waited on every hole from hole 2. Most unpleasant!
Course in good shape
Don't let the first few holes influence your overall impression of this course. The first few holes there were plenty of mud areas particularly in front of the greens & some bunkers were out of play. Once you get through the opening few holes the course is much drier & you can run the ball onto the greens in most cases. There are some great holes to challenge you but don't fire at the pins - just go for the centre of the green & avoid the greenside trouble like water & steep-faced bunkers. Greens are running well & the fairways are in good shape.
Staff are friendly & I'll certainly play this course again.
Worth playing
Great layout with some interesting and challenging holes.
Played mid morning and had the course pretty much to ourselves. As other reviewers state there are some drainage issues, however these do not impact the whole course nor do they make it unplayable. Greens were cut well and ran well.
All in all, although the course is not perfect, if you are willing to put up with the minor issues then the course provides a good challenge for golfers of all ability and for a very good price.
Course was in surprisingly good shape
I have played this course many times. With all the rain in central Florida, I was surprised at how dry the course was. Unfortunately my round ended early due to a heavy rain storm. I will be back.
Poorly maintained
Course should be called the mud bowl. Bunkers are hard as cement, there is standing water throughout the entire course to the point my cart almost got stuck in the fairway multiple times... I would have given this a 1 star however the back nine where the houses are (clearly to keep appearances for the home owners only) was actually nice (not including the bunkers). The tee box and greens arent as bad as some of the other reviews claim... id give them a 3.5 out of 5. Also bring plenty as there is no water on the course unless you go into the club house to ask the bartender to fill your cup up.
K-Bay
Love this place. I have gone with my sons every weekend for the last 3 months and love it. The staff are super nice and the course is great.
Thank you
Wow..
My father in law and I just finished and the course is in horrible shape. muddy front 9 with cart tracks all over the fairways. Greens were terrible with sand spots all over. Several plugged lies in the fairways. Back 9 in a little better shape. No drinking water on the course and it was wicked hot in the 90’s. The tee boxes were scruffy and the sand traps were hard pan with no rakes. I can’t believe that they are charging $80 for this course. Definitely not worth even $50.
Swamp
It was a swamp. Tore up by carts. Drives lost due to plugging in fairway/rough. Not really the clubs fault but just an FYI to anyone seeing the wide open sheet and wondering why. Not sure if its a drainage issue or just due to the amount of rain the area has gotten recently and close proximity to East Lake Tojo. Lots of standing water in bunkers, and some of the greens are a bit beaten up. Dont think it was worth the $54 green fee when other courses in the CFL area are around that with better conditions. Again it could be entirely the area the course is in and their drainage capabilities that are possible, not trying to knock them too much. I play there often and its the worst ive seen it. Needs a few weeks to dry up and regrow some areas destroyed by carts. I hate CPO days but they might want to look into gps carts and cpo days.
Good course
Pretty nice course unfortunately it was wet and muddy but it has been raining a lot in florida right now
Course is in good shape
The pace of play was fast. The course was in surprisingly good condition even though there has been a lot of rain in central Florida lately. Will definitely play the course again.
Second time playing, maybe the last…
I played here a couple of years ago and it seems to have fallen into some disrepair. The bunkers need a lot of work, the greens were ok but had some bad spots, the clubhouse was undergoing restoration so maybe they’re just in a temporary slump. The layout is pretty good, it just needs some love.
Coarse Improvement
What a huge improvement on the golf course condition from when I played 6 months ago. If I had any complaints it would be that they need to have water coolers on the coarse especially during the summer months.
