About

Holes 18
Type Resort
Par 72
Length 6840 yards
Slope 134
Rating 73.3

The 18-hole Palm Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL is a resort golf course that opened in 1971. Designed by Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore, Palm Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort measures 6840 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 134 and a 73.3 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels. Greens and fairways are bermuda grass.

The natural Florida woodlands provide a stunning backdrop to one of America's premier resort courses. Architect, Joe Lee, designed the 6,870-yard Palm with elevated tees and greens. The key ingredient, of course, was the Florida palm and he made good use of nearly every variety for aesthetic and strategic purposes. Its fairways are crafted through a pine forest of mature, natural woodlands that includes moss-dappled oak, maple and cypress trees. Palmetto scrub fills the forest floor. It boasts of more than its share of water and sand with nine water holes and 94 bunkers.

This is a perfect choice for everything from a casual round to a large group outing.

Loved it!

First time playing a Disney course, and only second day ever playing golf in Florida. We played the Palm Sunrise and were the first off the tees so pace was never an issue. The staff from top to bottom was amazing. From loading our clubs onto the cart until cleaning the clubs and unloading them. Breakfast sandwich was very tasty, and these were by far the best carts we encountered on our trip. First time playing with a GPS equipped cart so that was a big plus. We found the course amazing, but note we normally play on a muni court in Central Arkansas, and we haven’t seen green fairways in months! It was pricey, but well worth it. We will be back!

Spectacular

Greens running as fast as a bobsled. Staff was excellent in the proshop and around facilities. Special shout out to Greg the starter who ran for dogs on the turn for us so we could keep pace. A must play while in Florida.

Disney is always first class

The Palms is a great course. The Disney folks always treat you first class. Don't be vain and play the proper tees per your abilities or the course could play extremely long (especially the back nine) and won't be as much fun.

This is a AWSOME course!

1st you are at Disney, so of course it is pristine. 2nd the Disney courses are managed and ran by Arnold Palmer Golf Management, so you will not be let down.

The Palms course will rate within my top 10 courses played. Of course the pro shop is well stocked with Mickey and Disney options of all varieties, the staff greets you and acknowledges you everywhere you go.

The course was pristine, it could not have been better, greens hard and fast, fairways so well manicured they are better then some courses greens, and the tee boxes will allow you to pick your poison as how long and hard do you want the course to play.

The best part of this round is really 2 things, you never felt pushed or waiting on a group, and almost every green is elevated with absolutely no love for a shot that was short or long as it will run off the green and you will be chipping again, putting on these greens is an absolute pleasure.

Great course, very enjoyable, and can't wait to play it again.

Nice place to play

Good course. It was a little wet due to a big storm overnight but we were told about that mulitiple times before playing so it was not a big deal.

Grainy Greens

The course overall was good. A couple of wet holes where carts weren't allowed on the fairway. There is some bunker work being done on one of the par 3s that could impact play. The greens were average at best for this time of year. Grainy and a little slower than expected.

Course was in good shape. Tee'd off just before noon, so the pace of play was pretty slow. Course was in pretty good shape. Construction going on around the third green, but it didn't disrupt play. Worth the price to play. Ate at Sports Bar next to the course.

Great course

Course was great staff was great. Only thing that sucked for me and that is no fault of anyone than Mother Nature is that it was cart path only. Keep that in mind Incase it rains the day before your tee time. Other than that it’s great.

Disney

Very nice layout. Very playable from multiple sets of tees. We were in the first group and played in 3 hours 30 minutes. Greens were in very good shape. Price was comparable to other courses in the Disney area. Worth the trip.

Nice course. Not perfect.

Course was wet from heavy rain so it was cart path only. They had just aerated so greens were bumpy but still playable. My only complaint is the cart girl has to hand enter credit card info for on the course purchases. Being there isn’t a shop at the turn, maybe they should invest in isquare or something similar to speed up the process.

Excellent but tough

Palm is an excellent layout but pretty tough with lots of water hazards in play. You will need to bring your A game to score well. Greens are in great shape and putted fast and true. Favourite hole was the risk/reward par 4 13th where you have to choose between safely finding the fairway and trying to get as close to the green as possible with going in the water by taking on too much of the dog-leg.

Like many things, Disney does golf well!

Course was in very good shape. Nice layout and very friendly staff.

The course is a good test for players of all levels, but has generous landing areas and multiple tees to choose from.

The rates are a little stiff for non-residents (another thing that is consistently true of Disney!), but all in all it was an enjoyable experience.
