Disney's Palm Golf Course
About
The 18-hole Palm Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL is a resort golf course that opened in 1971. Designed by Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore, Palm Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort measures 6870 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 131 and a 73.7 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels. Greens and fairways are bermuda grass.
The natural Florida woodlands provide a stunning backdrop to one of America's premier resort courses. Architect, Joe Lee, designed the 6,870-yard Palm with elevated tees and greens. The key ingredient, of course, was the Florida palm and he made good use of nearly every variety for aesthetic and strategic purposes. Its fairways are crafted through a pine forest of mature, natural woodlands that includes moss-dappled oak, maple and cypress trees. Palmetto scrub fills the forest floor. It boasts of more than its share of water and sand with nine water holes and 94 bunkers.
This is a perfect choice for everything from a casual round to a large group outing.

Very Good Course but Crowded
I am a long-time admirer of the Disney Palm. It is a course I played frequently when I moved to Orlando in 1980. Over time it has become crowded and high-priced, so I seldom play there now. But when I found a great price on Golf Now, I booked it. I was joined on the first tee by another single.
The course is still terrific: The fairways are in good shape, the greens really, really fast, and it is a (mostly) serene setting for a round of golf. The course has generous fairways, but not much room in the rough before your ball finds water or swampy woods.
While I still think the course is great, the crowded conditions and slow play are not. Starting late in the day we cruised through the front nine, but then things got backed-up. There were just too many people packed-in, and the pace slowed to a crawl. I didn't enjoy the back nine so much. The bottom line for me is that I really like the Disney courses, but unless I'm with a foursome and have plenty of time, I'll most likely go elsewhere.
Very nice course with different holes.
Greens were fast but need some work. Playing a PGA stop is always nice. Played with daughter who is very good 13 yo. If ball is kept in fairway can score well at any level. Lots of sand bunkers off fairways and around greens. A player must have a short game here.
Interesting and fair test of shot selection but lots of divots on fairways
We opted to play the Palms after being informed of a 1 hour delay on Magnolia due to fog- our second weather delay this week. This also allowed us to play a 2-ball instead of the dreaded match up with another 2 players. Pace of play was perfect and we got round the 18 in just over 3 hours thanks to a swift pair in front of us. An interesting round with several holes where you had choose your club wisely to avoid water. Greens were quite fast but true and only disappointment was the number of divots in the fairways - how difficult is it for people to repair their divots after each shot ??
As all of the Disney courses it was a pleasure to play.
From the beginning until the end all was perfect. The fairways are in a very good condition and the staff was really frindly and helpful. Its a pleasure to play at such a place.
Great condition
Professional Staff. Course is very well kept. A few very challenging holes with great character.
Excellent Course, very challenging when the wind is up.
Played from the Whites and this was a challenge specially at 50F and the wind up. Loved the layout and the challenge of putting your shots in the proper position to allow you the best chance for an approach shot. Overall great day.
This course has excellent views
I loved to play this course, it wasn´t crowded and I could enjoy the spectacular views it offers. The greens were quite fast! It was a little bit soggy because it rained all morning. The staff was vert friendly and kind.
Beautiful condition.
Given the fact the tee times were booked solid, the course layout is such that you felt like you we're the only ones playing. Had a wonderful day.
A recreational golfer on vacation needs a resource like GolfNow.com to find the best value for his money. In previous years I have used the dart system. Some good, some bad. Today, bullseye. Thank you.
Nice course.
Nice course but not one of the top five in Orlando.
not a blade out of place
what a wonderful experience for my first time playing a Disney course. The conditions were fantastic, the only fault I could find (and this is a stretch) is that I was unable to hold my approach shots on the greens - probably my fault and not that of the course.
A steal at $60 twilight through golf now
I shot 3 over my handicap, was in 12 bunkers but really enjoyed it,
Course in great condition, met Arnold Palmer as well which was the highlight of my day.
Par 5 with a 220yd carry over water for my 2nd shot was scary but great, play it you won't be disappointed
Great experience!
Friendly staff, great layout, excellent conditioned course. Real pleasure to play.
Very Picturesque Course With Challenges
The Palms Course at Disney's World of Golf is an interesting and challenging golfing experience. The first challenge is to figure out how to get there. There are road signs on the Disney complex that say "Golf Courses" but they do not say which of their many golf courses the signs are referring to. However, once you find the course, a good time is probable. The employees are great and the couse has many tricky elevated greens that are guarded by traps and water. Choose the right club!
Enjoy.
Best of the Disney courses.
Course was in superb shape. Greens were not overly fast but ran very true. Nice that each hole is separate from others with no houses or other distractions. Staff is friendly and helpful. I managed to get on for $59 which from what I can tell is a bargain. Cheapest Disney offering I've found is $89. Kudos to Golf Now Hot Deals.
Course was in great shape
Course was in great shape and fun to play. It was one of the nicest courses I've played in the Orlando area as far a conditions. It's Disney so you know the staff is always going to be nice. I got a good deal on Golf Now for 89.00 at noon and other times cost 140+ I'm not sure I would of liked it as much for 140 but at 89.00 I would play it again. There was a group three or four groups ahead of us that slowed down the course that took away from the experience
very enjoyable experience
Played as a foursome with a friend and our wives. Found the course to be most enjoyable. My friend and I are single digit handicaps and we played it from 6600 and found it to be just the right level of challeng, Yet from the ladies tees our wives had a relatively fun time too. Planning to play the other Disney courses and hope they are as much fun.
Poor On Course facilities
The course was in good condition but I expected much better from a Walt Disney Resort course. The greens were fast and in great condition. The Palm course where I played did not have the basic facilities like water coolers. I played on a hot day and no one at the Pro Shop bothered to let me know that they only have water fountains on the golf course (no water coolers or ice ) and if I need water I better equip myself ahead of time. The price to play does not include range balls which was very surprising especially when you are paying more than $100.00 to play on a resort course. I am from Florida and I have played on many courses. The on course facilities for a course on a PGA Tour rotation is pretty appalling. I wish they cared more about the playing public and not just the revenue they generate. Any regular golf club in Florida provides more on-course facilities than the Palm. If you are interested in playing there on a hot day, just be prepared to pay even for water.
Great experience with history
Golf was great, holes can get pretty tricky from the back tee, overall very good golf course, would love to play again for a little bit better price. Somewhere everyone should play just to go around and read the signs on every tee box! Alot of history there!
My favourite in Florida
This a great course. Beautiful layout and very well maintained.
Service is friendly and attentive.
Can't see anything to complain about.
Bravo
