Disney's Palm Golf Course
About
The 18-hole Palm Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL is a resort golf course that opened in 1971. Designed by Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore, Palm Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort measures 6870 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 131 and a 73.7 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels. Greens and fairways are bermuda grass.
The natural Florida woodlands provide a stunning backdrop to one of America's premier resort courses. Architect, Joe Lee, designed the 6,870-yard Palm with elevated tees and greens. The key ingredient, of course, was the Florida palm and he made good use of nearly every variety for aesthetic and strategic purposes. Its fairways are crafted through a pine forest of mature, natural woodlands that includes moss-dappled oak, maple and cypress trees. Palmetto scrub fills the forest floor. It boasts of more than its share of water and sand with nine water holes and 94 bunkers.
This is a perfect choice for everything from a casual round to a large group outing.

Very interesting course
as always Disney does a good job. They did everything to make us feel special.
the course is great.
I went with my son, we enjoy this course every time we come to Orlando.
Good course to play in Orlando
The last time I played this course Disney was still managing it. This time, I noticed a few changes with the new management. The course itself was in good shape except for about 5 or 6 greens that were is poor condition with several bare patches. The greens were fast and cut tight. Fairways, rough and tees were in generally good shape.
There are only two water and ice machines on the course, one on the front and one in the back nine. The front side machine was not working The beverage cart makes the rounds and it wasn't hot the day we played, so it was workable.
I would recommend the course to others because its a good layout but I would expect the greens to be in better shape for the greens fee you will pay to play it.
Beautiful course!
Has everything you would expect to have from a PGA level course. Very well maintained & fast greens. Staff was very friendly.
very good layout
played here on recommendation. unfortunately the greens were battered, played 9 courses on our florida trip and this was by far in the worst condition
Fair and enjoyable round of golf
Teed off as a twosome in the afternoon following the mens and womens MAAC tournament play in the morning. A nice enjoyable round of golf. Some of the greens had minimal diseased areas but the rest of the course was in great shape. Booked through GolfNow making it a great value.
If it rains it'll be a long day on the course...
The experience at the Palm was great. Great staff, price, and layout. The only reason it received a 4* was for the length of the round. I tee'd off at 2:12 and didn't finish until 7. The main reason for this was the cart path only rule instilled after a few days of rain. So if it rains, just be prepared to be out there for a while.
Not What I Remember
Slow play for a mid-afternoon time slot. Greens were a little beat up otherwise the course was in good shape. Rough cut pretty well. Wind does come into play. Magnolia is probably the better choice.
Great layout
Disney is always a little over priced, but they do have great golf courses. I was a little disappointed that 1/3 of the greens had dirt spots on them. A battle with fungus, which happens often in Orlando. Other than that, professional caliber course.
Challenging, but playable by all....
Great deal/value right now through GolfNow for local residents. Course is in very good condition given the time of year and all the tourist traffic it's had over the winter. Greens just a little beat up by people who are down for a week and just don't care about fixing ball marks, but even so, they're fast and true.
Challenging layout that everyone can enjoy, IF they play the right tees. Some forced carries, but again, nothing that's going to be out of line if you're playing where you should be. Pace of play can sometimes be an issue at the resort courses, but we got around in just over 4 hours.
Overall a great value for the locals right now!
must play
Just what you would expect from disney
course was in great condition
a very fair test of your game
Beautiful trek back to nature
Course is in great condition and the added nature setting makes for a excellent round, whether you're having a good or bad round!
Challenging yet fair course for the mid handicapper.
Just the right amount of water/sand/woods to make it challenging, yet open fairways to make it enjoyable. However, I played in mid-April 2013 and some greens needed attention. Through GolfNow reservations, I played for 50% off the regular rate which made it a great value.
the happiest turf
beautiful scenery and layout, challeging, the only negative was hearing the Disney racetrack nearby!
Best of the Disney courses. Play can be slow.
Best of the Disney courses. Narrow fairways and shot making required. Can play slow.
Great Course
This is a great course and it is great shape. Totally worth to try.
This course is a must play!
My friend and I played the Palm Course on Friday afternoon and we both agreed that this was the most well maintained course we've played all year. The greens were pristine, flawless and rolled true. We highly recommend playing this course if your in Central Florida!
Disney totally knows what they are doing!
The Palm is a beautiful course, a great layout and in pristine condition. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. At the same time it was very playable despite the challenges but gives you a new found respect for the kind of golf that pros play every round.
Everything you would expect from Disney
What a great experience. Everything you would expect from Disney. Fantastic greens. Beautiful layout. Great service.
the course itself is in great condition. The course can be tough if playing from the blues but much easier from the whites. I love the Kodak Moments on each hole telling you some of the history. I really enjoyed myself. I played til it was totally dark! Highly recommended.
Great variety and ultra fast greens.
Plenty of variety requiring the golfer to shape the ball both ways. Greens had lots of contour and were extremely fast. The Par 3's were great.
