Heritage Harbor
About
The Heritage Harbor Golf Club measures nearly 7,000 yards from the back tees and is one of the more challenging public course layouts in the Tampa Bay area. Four sets of tees have been incorporated into the design, making the course fun for golfers of all skill levels. The swirling winds and strategically located bunkers will play havoc with the players of these finely manicured links. However, the large greens may provide some relief. The premium on the championship course has been placed mainly on the short game. Winding through natural areas and cypress heads, Heritage Harbor Golf Club offers many scenic, unobstructed views. Seven of the eighteen holes have no homesites adjacent to the fairways, offering great, uncluttered golf.

Yikes
Foot tall weeds covering the entire tee box.
Dirt for a driving range.
Greens are covered in weeds.
A golf course has one main objective, to maintain their course. This place seems like their greens keeper has been on vacation for 6 months. Don’t waste your money.
Hidden Gem
I was pleasantly surprised with Heritage Harbor. Blind shots & greens in good shape fir summer in Florida. Only downside was pace of play, just because a threesome slowed me down! Never asked to allow me to play thru.
Best value
Pace of play is impotent and although its hot, we finish in 3 hours!
Amazing people, awful course conditions
I want to start this review by saying the employees we encountered this past weekend were truly amazing. From the prop shop, to the starter, to the bev cart to the 19th hole. 10/10 on customer service. That being said, do not book this course under any circumstances. The worst, and I mean WORST conditions I have ever experienced. Almost $60 for an absolute GOAT TRACK. Tee boxes, fairways, roughs and hazards were atrocious. It looks like a golf course that was completely abandoned then suddenly opened for Father's Day Weekend. Ironically, the best part of the course are the greens that were just punched and top dressed. I challenge the owner to take a long hard look at the property and be better. You are letting your amazing staff down by thinking the product currently being offered is ok. Terrible course management and I would be embarrassed to say I own it.
Course Needs Work
This course needs some TLC from the tee boxes to the greens.
The tee boxes are dirt and sand, finding a patch of grass to set the tee was tough.
The greens are in bad shape, very uneven with patches of weeds and sand.
For the amount being charged in June, Sunday tee time $57.00, there are other courses in the area for less $ and in better shape.
What a rip off, shameful
Tee boxes uneven sand and weeds .The greens are sand and maybe grass. The fairways are big weeds ,sand and very little grass Nothing is even close to being manicured.Time for a rehab.Astedicaly unpleasing for $40.
Beachy hay stack
There was an airation alert so we were aware that the conditions wouldn’t be ideal but I had no idea how bad a course could be. The “greens” were basically sand beds, the fairway in many places were so dry it looked like straw. The plugs from the airation were raked into piles to the side of a few greens areas and there was even a pile in the middle of the fairway on one hole. There is no ranger so there are kids and adults with kids riding electric scooters along the cart paths. It was a true circus. This was not somewhere I would go again ever and I definitely would never recommend this course to anyone that I like.
This is a criminal
The course is in horrible shape from the tees to the fairways to the greens being full of sand. I can't recommend it at this time maybe if they ever grow some grass it might improve. The other reviews are correct it is one of the worst I've ever played and I got a hot deal for 19.00 The only good thing was it wasn't jam-packed so the pace was rapid. 1 star from me until they water the whole golf course
Terrible beyond words
This golf course is the worst goat track I have ever stepped foot on. I really don't have the words to describe how bad in every way this course is. The owners should be ashamed of themselves for stealing money from us. Please hear this warning it isn't because it is summer time is ALWAYS like this it has been 3 years since I've been playing it I always think no it can't be as bad as others have said., it is. Save your money and go to any other course in Florida before this one. You will thank me later.Rock hard sand covered greens fairways patchy and bare hot with zero water stations and smelly low water-filled lakes. THE WORST IN HISTORY I WILL NEVER BE BACK THEY SHOULD REFUND ME AND I ONLY PAID 20 BUCKS A DISGRACE
Nice course in rough shape
Greens had recently been punched and sanded. Fairways were in rough shape due to lack of rain and irrigation. This course is normally very nice....hope the rains help bring it back. I would not play it again for several months for it to heal, if they take care of it as they should.
I have played there many times in the past. I was really disappointed in the condition of the course. I know they need rain... but you had to struggle to find any green grass on the fairways. they were airing the greens with holes & sand. I would play there again for $10.00. hopefully it will get better, it is a nice course.
In Bad Shape At This Time
The course used to be one of my favorite ones years ago. I stop playing golf and now back at it again after a 10 year break of golf. This is my first time here in a long time and what a disappointment. I had good memories playing here. But now the course is in bad shape. Fairway is dry and brutal to hit from the fairway with almost no grass in it. The greens are packed with sand and hard to read any putt speeds. Maybe it will be in good shape in about time for the snowbirds arrival. Will avoid this course for a while.
Fairways sucked greens punched. Wasn’t told when I booked. Would like a free round
Horrible course conditions
Grass did not exist on this golf course. Tee boxes were brown, fairways were like walking on potato chips, and the course played like we were on a concrete parking lot. The greens were so thick with sand, that we’d be better off playing at Clearwater beach. We are Floridian golfers and expect drier courses during the summer, but this was awful.
We got so frustrated with the course conditions that we stopped playing after 9 holes and went to another course.
