Heritage Harbor
About
The Heritage Harbor Golf Club measures nearly 7,000 yards from the back tees and is one of the more challenging public course layouts in the Tampa Bay area. Four sets of tees have been incorporated into the design, making the course fun for golfers of all skill levels. The swirling winds and strategically located bunkers will play havoc with the players of these finely manicured links. However, the large greens may provide some relief. The premium on the championship course has been placed mainly on the short game. Winding through natural areas and cypress heads, Heritage Harbor Golf Club offers many scenic, unobstructed views. Seven of the eighteen holes have no homesites adjacent to the fairways, offering great, uncluttered golf.

Some fun holes
There were a few fun holes, but then also a couple crazy holes with severe dog legs. From the blue tees, there were many short holes that require a layup or a very tight landing for a driver. I think playing this course multiple times You can fully appreciate it. For instance, on 18 you have no idea how much brush there is to cover with the driver or to try carrying it. The layup is like 170 yard shot so it’s very Mickey Mouse to me..
Solid course. Price a little off for conditions.
Before round:
Checked in at clubhouse but signage to pro shop could be more visible. Sign is like 8x11 on the building you are walking parallel to.
Shop attendant was friendly and checked me in, no issues, average service.
Hit the range:
Range was good. Hitting into water is funny as your hearing a sound you don’t usually want to hear. But driving range wasn’t mats (huge plus) and the chilling putting area was nice.
Starter:
Victor was as friendly as they come. Few minutes to chat after he sent a group and he was welcoming and informative.
Tee boxes:
These were solid. Not too much wear and some good placements (we played yellows) that gave some good views and “difficulty”.
Fairways:
This is where course needs a lot of help. Understandable it’s winter and grass may weather some but fairways are very thin and not manicured, at least not recently. Would rather play from rough area than most fairways.
Greens:
Greens were long and slow. Can tell a big issue they’re dealing with is inconsiderate golfers not fixing divots or caring for greens as players. This made speed inconsistent from hole to hole.
Layout:
Course is laid out well. Enjoyed the difficulty of a few holes where you had to be wide with club choice.
Overall:
I’d play here again but not for $74 a round.
E
Pretty Course, with water on virtually every hole. Water locations often do not come into serious play. Greens were in excellent condition.
Fairways need help
Greens and Tee's overseeded Rye, pretty lush green.
Fairways, terrible condition, no overseed, minimal grass.
This may be a result from 2 Hurricanes
Different
Place had crappy fairways but good greens. Little quirky buy greens in great shape.
Ok, bad closing holes
Course was ok, but last two holes were disappointing. Boring par 3 (short open) and then a par 4 where you could only hit 200 yds unless you have a 280 carry.
Nice course
Great layout, fairway not in the best condition, greens on the slow side, but in good condition. Good value for the price.
