Heritage Harbor
About
The Heritage Harbor Golf Club measures nearly 7,000 yards from the back tees and is one of the more challenging public course layouts in the Tampa Bay area. Four sets of tees have been incorporated into the design, making the course fun for golfers of all skill levels. The swirling winds and strategically located bunkers will play havoc with the players of these finely manicured links. However, the large greens may provide some relief. The premium on the championship course has been placed mainly on the short game. Winding through natural areas and cypress heads, Heritage Harbor Golf Club offers many scenic, unobstructed views. Seven of the eighteen holes have no homesites adjacent to the fairways, offering great, uncluttered golf.

Greens need water
Been playing weekly great course a lot of crab grass on some greens . Also got to water them
This course is above par.
With a very dry spring many courses tee boxes and fairways are in horrible condition, but not here. I will definitely be returning soon.
I’d have given it 5 stars if the carts were charged! LOL
This is definitely not a reason to avoid this course. But our cart died in the middle of the first 9. Then at 10, we went into the restaurant for a little while, and when we came out our replacement cart had also died. After swapping it out for the 2nd time we were back in business. It appeared that whomever plugged in the chargers, failed epically. Lol. However, the staff was nice as could be and had us up and running both times very quickly. This is a nice course with pretty greens. The tee boxes are a little brown, but the course was in very good shape. There are a couple of frustrating holes where you have to shoot over scrub or lay up, but I found as many balls as I lost, so I was still up on balls for the day.
Between here and Heritage Isles (don’t get them confused or you will miss your tee time. People do! They are not close.) these are my two go to courses in the area. They feel more like country clubs than city courses and you can usually find a hot deal on golf now.
First time here and I was excited to play and hopeful based on recent reviews stating excellent course conditions, but honestly the course needs some help in terms of condition. Lots of St. Augustine grass and others closer to weeds mixed in with the fairways, rough, greenside and even on the greens in some spots / holes. Most tee boxes in poor shape. Several fairways had large ground under repair sections. Greens have been obviously reduced in size, presumably to make it cheaper/easier to maintain, but they were not in great shape. And the smaller size makes certain holes nearly impossible to hit the green even with solid approach shots. All but one of the par fives are gimmicky blind doglegs and not much fun to play, especially with shrunken greens. The people were friendly and the beverage cart was around at least twice during our round. They had drinking water every few holes but most were empty by early afternoon. This place could be so much nicer, more fun and worthy of the greens fees if it were just in better condition.
Hot day
we played 4 holes on Monday and had to leave because it was so hot. We were on the verge of heat stroke. I wish we could get a rain check after spending $76 for our twosome. They warned us of the heat stroke potential and had to 911 a golfer due to the extreme heat. I hope they will reach out and invite us back with a heat stroke rain check
A good day
Better than being in work! Course conditions were excellent.
Regardless of the time of year a ranger is needed to move the pace of play. Foursome way to slow. Takes away from a great course
Very nice layout. Thinking mans course
Unfortunately, heavy rain earlier in morning made for very wet playing conditions. I really enjoyed the course. Challenging layout yet fair. The type of course after playing you would like a second chance. The greens were a bit shaggy and slow due to aeration, but that’s just what we face in Florida this time of year. Some of the greens were narrow, but long demanding accurate shot unfortunately, not in my skill set. The sand traps seems OK however, lots of them are still full of water. I would say, my only complaint would be the condition of the tea boxes or pretty rough otherwise, a very enjoyable afternoon. Looking forward to coming back and giving it a second chance.
Good value
Friendly staff, enjoyable track. The 260 yd par 3 from the back tee is a bear. Overall a good outing and I plan on returning 👍
Good condition
Course is in very good condition. Greens were very good
Will play again and definitely recommend the course.
Be ready to shape your shots!
Enjoyed playing this course although the greens were aerated so putts were a bit tough. Fairways in good shape but you really better know how to shape your shots, it's challenging at many holes. We will return, but I just hope the person who hit their ball over our heads while we were finishing up on the green doesn't show up again!!! And no we were not slow by any means, our threesome finished all 18 in 3 1/2 hrs. easy.
It's fine
Went out as a single at 120p, finished just after 430p including 30 minute wait as a rain storm passed through. Greens were aerated last week as noted when you pick a tee time, so still not recovered but playable. Tee boxes were good enough as well as the fairways (it's basically summer time). Golf shop desk attendant was friendly and helpful as I haven't played the course in 20+ years so he gave me a refresher. They did have water coolers out and a friendly snack/drink cart girl.
Very Nice
Greens were plugged and sandy but I knew that before I booked. Two or three tee boxes are meh, but everything else was spot on. Great value during aeration.
