Baytree National Golf Links

Very nice course. Plenty of water and hazards, but a fair course for mid and high handicappers other than 9 and 18 which were very tough. Conditions were good. Pace of play was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Worth the drive from Cocoa Beach - so much so we went back 2 days later.

Really like playing here. Pace of play could use some help though. We started at 1:37pm and had carts passing us on hole 16-18 because they were fed up with waiting. We had to wait at each hole for about 5-10 minutes to tee off because the group in front of us were also waiting at each hole.

This course had some great holes and greens. They rolled true and fairways had decent grass. Tee boxes were very tight and like fringe cut. Layout is pretty fair and playing the blue tees it had enough distance to pull out the driver. The tips are 6800 yards, so brave it when it’s not busy. We had a foursome and did not have much wait but it took 3 hours to clear nine holes.

Put some rangers on the course. The pace of play is atrocious here. 6 hour round. Following a group of four that had absolutely reason to be playing on a Saturday. Duff shots and mulligans on every hole. No ranger in sight. Yelled at them 5 separate times only to never have a chance to pass them. They stood around their carts in the fairway like Sandhill Cranes.

Very dry. First 4 greens have little dried out circles all over them. The fairways have not come in yet. They need water badly. This course has alot of potential. Played 3/22/25. Probably another month or two out before I would play it again. Disappointed this time. Try the Duran, its in better shape right now and worth the money.

I've always enjoyed Baytree's challenging layout. But I was a bit nervous to book the tee time after reading some recent negative reviews.

I gotta say, they must have been playing a different course. The course looked GREAT. Every green was in great shape. Fairways were good (the ones I had the pleasure of hitting from). I was very impressed with the quality of the course, and quite surprised by those recent negative reviews. Even the range had really nice grass to hit from!!!

Only thing I can complain about (not even that big of a deal) is the cart seemed to have some loose suspension in the front - it seemed to wobble/shift around while driving... I think it was Cart #5.

But I definitely recommend Baytree if you're looking for a good challenge. It was in GREAT shape when I played it on 3/14/25.

Teeboxes, fairways, bunkers and greens all good. Greens had varying speeds relative to the grain growing towards the sun. Very smooth. The 16th par 5 was immaculate. Take care of this course folks. Divots and ball marks. Yours plus another.

Have played this course 4 to 5 times each year we've come to Florida for the winter and have always enjoyed the layout. Conditions are always good to better than good every year. One main gripe is that pace of play the last few times has been horrendous as rounds have taken around 4:45-5:00 hours to finish. When I pointed this out to staff the response was that gps monitors pop but commented most gofers just ignore the warning on the screen.. I told him if that's the case then they need to get a body, i.e. staff member out to the back up and move the slow groups along. He also said it was a very busy day which there in lies another problem - tee times are 7 minutes apart, way to close.. Made for a very frustrating round of golf.
