About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 2019. See Grand Cypress - New listing for the remaining opened 18 holes.
Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando boasts four 18-hole championship courses designed by Jack Nicklaus. There is one 18-hole links course and three nines that are played in three different combinations. The South/East combination provides numerous challenges but it is also complemented by more player-friendly features. The South nine is one of the resort's original nines, the other being the North. The layout features terraced fairways and platform greens that are surrounded
by contoured mounding and yawning bunkers. The East nine is more forgiving with generous landing areas and fewer bunkers, especially in front of the greens, which allows for more run-up shots.

I got lucky with a pitching wedge and landed about 15' from the pin. The pin placement this round was tough with holes tight to the front edges. Photo submitted by knichola on 08/19/2013

Immaculate Course, even After Heavy Rains
This facility and the course are a must for any central Florida golfers. Even after heavy rains the day before our round, the course was nearly perfect. The staff was accommodating in switching us from the NSE courses which were recently punched, to the New Course which had the nicest greens I've played on all summer.
Excellent course for the money
Played for a discount and received a $25 voucher for a return before the end of August. Great value for the money paid. The course is in pristine condition. Greens were very fast and in excellent condition. We played the South and East Course because the North course was closed
A course that makes you think!
I played south and east they were both fun and fair layouts. although they are both challenging. The greens roll very nice fast but not to fast and true. The rough was some of the nicest I have ever played from as well as bunkers. I can't wait to get back and play the new course and the north!!!
Always a treat
Grand Cypress is always a pleasure to play. With the variety and the course conditions, there isn't a better place to enjoy the day in Orlando.
Consistentlcy!
Grand Cypress is well known in Central Florida for their consistently lush playing conditions. The greens were a little slower than normal, but the course was as pretty and lush as ever. We played the South & East 9's. Got a great afternoon rate on GolfNow.com and really enjoyed it.
Second time at Grand Cypress
Both experiences were pretty consistent.
Played East and North courses this time. Both are nice, well designed with the right amount of water and bunkers to make them challenging for your average golfer.
Clubhouse is very nice and staff friendly and professional.
Pace of play was not good this time around. The round took 5h. In all fairness I also played in March and I was pretty much by myself on the course that day.
I don't like that their cart don't have any ice. Seems like a must have in the Florida heat. The GPS system is great though. Being able to measure the distance of your drive is a fun feature!
I know this is a favorite with many people in the region and while I like Grand Cypress I don't think it is better than any of the Disney courses or Celebration which is even better I think.
$$$ great + great conditions= One of the Best!
Great Course for the money! The set-up of the course was spectacular! Make sure you position the ball in the right areas of the fairway! Plenty of undulation on the greens , so make sure your flat stick is working!
You are missing out if you do not come play here!
My Father and I had a wonderful one night stay at the Villa's of Grand Cypress and we played the next morning. It was an awesome quick weekend get away. Course was in magnificent shape. I would highly recommend a person who love's the game of golf to come and experience a wonderful facility as well as their multiple courses. I work in the industry myself.
Disney Dodge time
Family was at Disney and I played in the morning. Pro Shop staff was nice. Practice area was pretty crowded and staff there was not very friendly. Greens were kind of beat up, although for late July, I guess it was not unexpected. Got paired up with a very nice gentleman and enjoyed the game. I was expecting to be wowed but it was just OK.
Grand it is indeed
This is the best course you can play arround central florida.
Year round almost perfect conditions on all the courses.
Firm greens and wide fairways on north and south.
GOLF DELIGHT
Great golfing.
Play all 3 nines. The east nine is just as good as the other two(if not better)
Condition was super.Staff are very polite and helpful.
Great food and clubhouse.
Best golf in Orlando from a Orlando resident who has played all the Orlando golf courses.
A Beauty and a Beast!
First time playing here, and was very impressed with the overall course conditions. Beautiful course with a challenging (but still playable) layout. The greens are wicked though - they read true, but there isn't a "gimme" pin placement or putt anywhere on the course. Still a ton of fun. I can't wait to go back!
Nice summer rates
This is a nice well maintained golf facility. I played the south/east course and the south course played very well but the greens on the east rolled a lot slower than the south....a lot of water stations threw out the course and is a fun course to play!
Great course
Excellent shape, staff was very helpful and friendly, just a beautiful experience.
Always in Great Shape
Very well maintained and exciting course. High humidity and daily rain reduced rollout making some holes more difficult. We play here every time we are in Orlando.
This course offers challenges and beauty at the same time.
The course was well maintained as well as the driving range facility. Plenty of friendly staff members to assist in your needs prior and after the round. Beverage cart was always available to entertain your likes. GPS system worked at all times. There was plenty of drinking water, ice and cups available on the course. Very nice and well stocked pro shop. Overall, would highly recommend this facility to any player level to enjoy for the day.
Gorgeous course - beautifully maintained!
The course was wide open when we got there (early) but the pro shop staff wouldn't let us go off early "because we were on the group golfer rate." Made me feel like a second-class citizen.
The course had been recently aerated so greens weren't in great shape...but they gave us a certificate for a $25 round of play as an apology. Nice!
This is a gorgeous course - our very favorite!
This course is a beautiful course. If your looking for a challenge and a beautiful course this is your course.
My first time playing this course and I'm glad that I did. While I was warming up on the range there was a LPGA player hitting. That let's you know the quality of course this is.
The course was very scenic
I would highly recommend Grand Cypress to anyone. Great staff, amazing facility and such a beautiful and well kept course.
Great day out
Beautiful course, staff extremely friendly, love the greens. Only drawback is that a couple of bunkers were inconsistent - some fluffy others packed down.
Single digit hndcp play back tees - blue for 10-15, white for others and you will enjoy the round.
Wide fairways, true test for approach,, chipping, and putting.
