About
This 18 hole championship course opened in 1992 and was designed by Bill Amick. The shady fairways are bordered by huge sprawling oaks and towering pines, nestled in the shadows of Bulow and Tomoka State Parks in Ormond Beach. The course features five elevated tee boxes and fast, contoured, highly manicured greens adequately protected by traps. A unique experience for the golfer who enjoys not only a challenge but also extraordinary scenery.

Long & shaggy
If you roll off the fairway by a few feet, you may have trouble finding your ball. Most of the fairway roughs are at least 2.5 inches high. Further away from the fairway is downright deep. Nearly all the greens were in good shape and on the fast side. Prior players do not rake the sand traps. Half of the tee boxes were in rough shape - furry and spotty. The staff members are always friendly.
Halifax Plantation
Course was in excellent shape. Staff was courteous and professional.
I gave it a 4 star for two reasons instead of a 5 star rating. It was very hot and there are no water coolers on the course. Fortunately, I had brought plenty but my playing partner who lives in the area had not. Also, the pace of play was very slow. No Marshall to push the groups ahead of us.
It was on a Saturday in the morning so the rest of the day it was probably slow.
Last I would recommend a beverage cart on weekends.
Enjoy this course
Nice design. And it's in fairly good conditions. Bunkers were washed out and pretty much unplayable. Greens rolled well. Yet alittle slow but it did rain day before. What was terrible was being backed up behind seven women playing as a group then having four groupa (two groups with onky two people). No Marshall to be seen and no cart person or water on course. Good course,!if yiu have the time
What a improvement
I was very surprised that the condition of the course had improved so much. Even though the first few tee boxes were being redone the course was great. Congratulations to the maintenance crew they have done a great job bringing it back to the quality of before. Greens were very nice and fast.
Vacation Golf
Very nice course, fairway and greens excellent condition. Pin placement was challenging. The No-see bugs were unexpected, be sure to carry bug spray, or you can purchase some in the pro shop.
Easy wide fairways. Not very interesting layout.
Nice wide faieways, large greens. Average golf course layout.and didnt find anything outstanding. The cart paths were in need of repair. No water stations except at the club house.
Fair deal
The course is in good condition. Unfortunately ruled by inconsiderate members which was experienced on the course and in the clubhouse. The Bar food is good but not worth the extended wait time.
