About
This 18 hole championship course opened in 1992 and was designed by Bill Amick. The shady fairways are bordered by huge sprawling oaks and towering pines, nestled in the shadows of Bulow and Tomoka State Parks in Ormond Beach. The course features five elevated tee boxes and fast, contoured, highly manicured greens adequately protected by traps. A unique experience for the golfer who enjoys not only a challenge but also extraordinary scenery.

The Rough is A Killer and the greens are near midseason fast!
Course is coming into form nicely, especially the greens. Hit the fairway, otherwise the bermuda rough will swallow your ball. This is a good local course for the deals on GolfNow! Pace of play affected by foursomes playing the tips, when their abilities suggested they should have played from the golds or whites. Keeping your ball in the fairway is essential at HP! It's a fun layout for a 4 hour round!!
Great layout and value
Overall the course was in great shape, fairways and greens well maintained. Tee boxes and 3rd cut of the fairway sides need better maintaining. Course layout is enjoyable, no houses along the fringe of the fairways.
Always a challenge
Halifax Plantation is always a challenge. It requires accuracy and, at mid-season, a deft putting touch. You will enjoy yourself, I'm sure, but practice your punch-outs while on the range -- chances are you'll need them a couple of times! Highly recommended, especially when a Hot Deal is available.

As in most cases as far as golf courses go in Florida there are always rough patches, even your better private clubs experience areas that grass isn’t growing and are naked sandy areas full of shell and rocks. The most important aspect of Florida courses are the greens. I can handle the rough spots but I demand good greens. Halifax has good, full but kinda slow greens that putt true, and there are slopes to figure out. Great layout will be bsck….

A friend who came from Jacksonville One of the best greens that I’ve been playing in a long time undulated and fast but fair I lot of dog leg I play from tips
The tee box are in good condition
Some Fairway have weeds and in the rough too and
Sandy areas green side areas need to improve
But overall awesome course

Great course, great layout, great pace of play and some of the trickiest greens within an hour. Tee boxes and fairways are the only complaint. About a year ago with course was as close as it gets to 5 stars. As of now it’s 3.5 but if you’re playing a roll or just move out of certain spots it doesn’t effect the overall experience too much. Bumpy ride as well but one id be willing to make every time for a price under 60 bucks

This course offers many tee selections that can accommodate many different levels of golfer. Greens were in very good shape.

Fun but slow
The fun part of the course distracts you from the pace of play. Not horrible but it seems like it should be a little quicker, even for a Sunday.
