About
This 18 hole championship course opened in 1992 and was designed by Bill Amick. The shady fairways are bordered by huge sprawling oaks and towering pines, nestled in the shadows of Bulow and Tomoka State Parks in Ormond Beach. The course features five elevated tee boxes and fast, contoured, highly manicured greens adequately protected by traps. A unique experience for the golfer who enjoys not only a challenge but also extraordinary scenery.

Great day out
Love the layout and natural setting. Some areas on fairways and greens were kind of torn up, poor grass, but overall really nice course! Looking forward to coming back.

We decided to play Halifax Plantation today after avoiding it for several months due to its conditioning!
We were happy to discover that the conditions are greatly improved!! The fairways are beginning to fill in and the greens although far from perfect are beginning
to show signs that they are finally receiving the attention they need. We will definitely be coming back more often!!
The tees should be next on the list for improvement!

Great place
Every time I play the course keeps improving! Greens aren’t to far off from being corrected. Sand traps are a bit hard needing some new sand.

Great time
Halifax Plantation is a good course. There are some spots on some greens that are rough but overall the course is well maintained and is a good value for the money. I had a great time and usually do at Halifax Plantation.

Greens
Nice to see the greens are starting to come around... rumor has it a new grounds keeper is taking over and the greens are to be reconstructed. Yeah!!!!!! Sand traps a somewhat hard needing some loosening up

It can’t survive like this
I have no idea how this course ranks over 4 on Google and over 3 on most golf sites. It's a mess. Fairways are mostly weeds. Greens are very patchy, missing a lot of turf and inconsistent in speed. On most of the course, the rough is higher quality grass than the fairway and the green fringes are an embarrassment. I find it hard to believe they employ a greenskeeper. Visible gopher holes on many holes. It looks like one of those courses set up on a cheap housing development to draw in new home buyers which then gets left to rot and retreat to nature. This one is on its last legs and I predict will be shuttered soon.
