About
This 18 hole championship course opened in 1992 and was designed by Bill Amick. The shady fairways are bordered by huge sprawling oaks and towering pines, nestled in the shadows of Bulow and Tomoka State Parks in Ormond Beach. The course features five elevated tee boxes and fast, contoured, highly manicured greens adequately protected by traps. A unique experience for the golfer who enjoys not only a challenge but also extraordinary scenery.

Needs lots of TLC
Halifax at one point some years ago must have been "the" place to play. Greens are worn out and slow. Fairways need some watering and fertilizer.
very disappinted
greens in poor shape, rye overseed on greens and fairway not cut. very slow greens due to this. will try again some time in future.

bad greens
greens were in bad shape patches of missing grass and the grass that was there was not mown, not the same length, bumpy, slow and putts bounced more than they rolled. good layout but hard to justify $$ for the conditions of the greens.

slower than a senior in the left lane ....
Always enjoyed the drive into Halifax plantation the canopy of trees is very impressive , a good start to help me feel I will have a good round. staff greeted you friendly with the pro shop was great the range was very nice the course layout is tremendous but the greens were slower than unbelievable slow speed

I like the course, but some of the greens were in bad shape, no rakes for bunkers

Disappointing
I have played this course for 10 years during the months of Nov. and Dec. Have always enjoyed the private club feel and the layout. This year I am extremely disappointed in the condition of the practice tee and the golf course. The turf is long and shaggy on the practice range and the fairways. Fairways are not over seeded. Greens have many bare sanded areas. A huge change in one season with the new owners. I will drive the extra 20 minutes to practice and play at LPGA International. Have always loved Halifax Plantation. Very disappointed. Also miss the wonderful Sunday breakfast,

Nice course
One of the nicest course around Palm Coast behind Hammock Dunes and Ocean Hammock. Staff is friendly, but greens, while putt true are not in good shape. Pace of play was a major issue the day I played. It was Saturday afternoon of the UGA-UF football game. I thought course wouldn’t be empty, I was in for a surprise!!!

Terrible greens
Played this course in the spring after reading reviews that the greens were not in good shape and the reviews were right. Played again in early summer and they were improved, so we tried again and they were burnt had bald and thin spots on many of the greens.

Greens disappointing
I’ve played this course many times. Really like the course and the restaurant/bar. But this time the greens were very disappointing. Nearly every green had some sort of disease damage. Large areas of the greens were not useable. I can’t recommend the course while the greens are in this condition.
