Viera East Golf Club
About
Bordering the Indian River, Viera East Golf Club sprawls across a landscape of sparkling blue lakes and native marshland that is accented with towering pines and cypress trees. The well known layout is considered one of the best and most affordable public golf courses in Florida. The course features large, undulating greens that are carefully protected by numerous bunkers and risk-reward opportunities that will challenge even the lowest handicappers. Although the course offers a fairly formidable test, beginners will be comforted by the wide fairways that have ample bailout room. Viera East Golf Club's eighth and ninth holes are a memorable duo, beginning with a short par 4 that is the best birdie opportunity on the course. The ninth is another par 4 with water all along the left and trees along the right. Both holes are made even more challenging with strategic bunkering along the greensides.

A Fine Pick (if you can’t drive 1:30 to Orlando)
Y, the title says it all. Orlando is an East coast golf mecca, with many fine courses and amenities. It’s also 1-11/2 hrs from the Space Coast. Not everyone is able to drive there for a single day of golf, preferring to play locally. I’m a visitor in that category. A mere 15 minute drive led me to this fine facility. I liked many things. First, the check process was a pleasure. Super friendly person, helpful, even inquired about my possibly receiving a military discount. I like this (esp vs the alternative). My cart was good, and I drove to a decent range with nice putting green etc. All good so far. I like playing early, so the first holes were a bit wet typical of Florida dew. The wetlands surrounding the course were great and intimidating at times (but always 100% fair). I like the visuals off the tees, some nice risk reward holes. Half the greens were great, the other half ok since they had been punched previous week (I knew this, well described and no complaint from me- I often do better w excuses). Several nice semi-island type greens. A great clinic for young juniors was going on off the range as I left the course. I give this course a solid rating, and would recommend it for any golfer on the Space Coast.
Great course!
Awesome and challenging course! Very well maintained. Highly recommended when the heat index is not at 106 degrees.
No longer worth the greens fees
I’m sorry but this place is no longer worth what they charge. They kept bumping the price to the point where it’s now a rip off.
A Plesant round
Played with 3 stranhgers I met on the course. I've rated VE as my favorite course in Brevard County but their green fees are approaching the most expensive in the county. Still itwas a pleasure to play VE again.
Great Shape
The entire course was in great shape. The greens were slower than usual, but putts rolled true and were the greens were recovered from the recent aeration.
Pleasant round with 3 strangers
Hot weather, particularly when there wasn't a breeze. Made through 18 barely in a friendly foursome that kept pace with the threesome in front of us and finished our round in 3,5 hours/
Amazing Course Recently Renovated
I love this course now that all the renovations are done. The course is better than ever. Lots of scenic holes and interesting tee boxes. I think that this is my new favorite public course in Brevard. I really appreciate the consistency of the conditions on each hole as well as the layout of the overall course. I can’t complain.
Excellent condition and layout.Fun course to play. All of the employees I came in contact with were very nice.We look forward to playing there again.
Beautiful course with a few difficult holes
Took a chance on the weather and it turned out perfect. Not many players on the course so the round was quick. Amazing course in great shape. Will definitely recommend to friends.
Course was in pretty good shape, nice tee boxes and fairways but the outside staff wasn’t what I expected. Mentioned I worked at a different golf club and one of the staff proceeded to tell me how awful it was and how many awful experiences he’s had. Not too professional but overall had a good experience.
Front closed due to aeration
We were surprised when we showed up and they told us the front nine was closed as it was being aerated. We played the back nine twice. It was in good shape. The problem was we had prepaid and the rate was lower because the front nine was closed. Since we used the Golf Now Hot Deal and prepaid, we couldn’t get the cheaper rate.
Exceeded my expectations
I had a Sunday afternoon tee time, and my experience was excellent. I was a single, so I was able to get on the course early, and for the most part, I felt like I was completely alone. The greens were fast, but fair, and the course itself was in awesome shape. I would say better than Duran (the most comparable course nearby), but less expensive. I will be back.
Great Greens
Course was in great shape. Greens were nice and fast. Dave the starter was very friendly and informative.
