About
Bordering the Indian River, Viera East Golf Club sprawls across a landscape of sparkling blue lakes and native marshland that is accented with towering pines and cypress trees. The well known layout is considered one of the best and most affordable public golf courses in Florida. The course features large, undulating greens that are carefully protected by numerous bunkers and risk-reward opportunities that will challenge even the lowest handicappers. Although the course offers a fairly formidable test, beginners will be comforted by the wide fairways that have ample bailout room. Viera East Golf Club's eighth and ninth holes are a memorable duo, beginning with a short par 4 that is the best birdie opportunity on the course. The ninth is another par 4 with water all along the left and trees along the right. Both holes are made even more challenging with strategic bunkering along the greensides.

Getting Better
Greens getting better after aerification a few weeks ago. Overall conditions are good.

Great shape
Course was in great shape for summer. Bunkers need some TLC. Ans the greens were recovering nicely from being punched. Firm and good speed if a little bumpy.
Nice but pace is super slow expect a 5 hour round
Love the course but it’s full of old people that take forever
Nice layout.
Almost every hole is driveable. Friendly front office. Nice selection in the grill. Beautiful range. Great home course.
Condition
Tees need help, fairways cut really short good for pros and single diget hcs. Greens punched recently, but putted well. Nice layout and usually in better shape.

Great Course!
We enjoyed this course. Good layout, but the recent aeration was a surprise and definitely wreaked havoc on our putting game.
My Favorite Brevard County Course
Round took 4 hours as my threesome was behind a foursome that was behinh another group that slightly held them up. Weather was high 80s but with a pleasant breeze. Twosome I played with were teachers at Trinity School and I enjoyed their company. My game rotated between douple boogies and pars but overall it was an excellent day on my favorite course in Brevard.

Packed
Course is fine but dry. Stacked and packed to the max. Waiting on every shot on every hole. 4 1/2 hour round

Slower Than Usual
Got around in four hours - pretty good pace of play with two foursomes in front of us. Course was in good shape considering Florida is heating up for summer. Nice staff at Viera East.

Nice Course But Overbooked
I like the course. It is laid out nicely and a fun course to play but they overbook and we had to wait at least 10 minutes a hole. Our round took 5 hours to play and we were playing well and we always play fast (usually we are about 3.5 hours per round).
This is twice lately that I played there and had the same problem with having to wait forever. Only play here if you have lots of time and you don't mind waiting for each hole. Sometimes we were backed up 3 deep at the tee box. The ranger came by and just said that the entire course was backed up so there was nothing he could do.
Aeration/Bumpy Greens
Another 7-10 days and the greens ‘should’ be ready.
Need some sand base towards the back of the first trap to the left of the green at #13. It is like cement with top dressing on it. You can only end up in the water on the other side of the green. Chip it out of there. Same with the trap behind #17. Putt that ie no trap lip. Other than that, course is top notch.
Solid Experience
Good overall round. Easy bag drop and check in process. Average bar/clubhouse. Only saw the cart attendant once.
The greens were airated and we weren’t told ahead of time. Plus they pair us up with another twosum and a group of 4 were behind us in the front nine. But after the turn it was completely empty. They should have given us the option to wait.
