About
Bordering the Indian River, Viera East Golf Club sprawls across a landscape of sparkling blue lakes and native marshland that is accented with towering pines and cypress trees. The well known layout is considered one of the best and most affordable public golf courses in Florida. The course features large, undulating greens that are carefully protected by numerous bunkers and risk-reward opportunities that will challenge even the lowest handicappers. Although the course offers a fairly formidable test, beginners will be comforted by the wide fairways that have ample bailout room. Viera East Golf Club's eighth and ninth holes are a memorable duo, beginning with a short par 4 that is the best birdie opportunity on the course. The ninth is another par 4 with water all along the left and trees along the right. Both holes are made even more challenging with strategic bunkering along the greensides.

Good Course but got rained out
Played about 6 holes before the weather got us. but the course is in ok shape right now compared to the peak season but still in good shape.
Guy in the pro shop was very rude and I will not be back.
Their staff that works the front desk are always rude. My last name is weird compared to most so every time I check in there, they always give me an attitude and are quite rude in telling me I do not have a tee time till the third time they check and realize they are wrong, then they continue to be rude through the rest of the check out like it's a bother for them, that I'm there to golf. The women that work the restaurant are always amazing, and the younger kids that I see working there are nice. It must be something about working that front counter that brings out a A-hole in them.

Twice before
I’ve played this course twice before, the first time the greens were freshly punched and it was not a great experience. The second time was a foursome playing best ball and that’s not my thing, not the courses fault. This time, a great experience pace was good, no rushing and no waiting. Greens reacted very well. I’m not a spectacular golfer. Bogeys all day. But this course is worth the money and I’ll be back!!

for the most part the course was in good condition. A few tee boxes needed seeding.

Great shape
Played 18 and found the course to be excellent shape. Nice layout and the greens were smooth and FAST. Had a hard time holding the greens but thats just me and my poor iron game.

Poor Course Management! No Ranger to speed up play. Players in front of us had to be beginners.
