About
Hidden in the folds of the Southern Nevada desert is the lush oasis of Rhodes Ranch Golf Club. The abundance and variety of water features characterize the golf course. Ponds and lakes come into play frequently. There are also mature palms lining the gently rolling fairways and generous greens. The club is known for the immaculate maintenance of the verdant tropical landscape. The course is player-friendly while at the same time offering Las Vegas golfers some unexpected challenges. The layout boasts a set of four impressive par 3s including the scenic third hole, which requires a tee shot over a pond. The designer, Ted Robinson, touted the holes as the best he's ever designed. Rolling mounds and strategic bunkering as well as the occasional multi-tiered green make the golf course more difficult, but there are wide fairways and ample landing areas to provide a balance. The playability of the course combined with the reasonable rates, especially for Las Vegas golf, has earned the club a popular following.

Lovely Course. Slow. Staff Not Interested
Positives - excellent layout, great conditions, really playable.
Negatives
- SLOW play and no marshalls. Usual story of people on the course playing golf that had couldn't hit the ball and had no idea about pace of play with no one to move them along or educate them.
- Pro shop staff. Went to check in and was ignored until one of the four members of staff told the rest a story. Maybe if the staff were either more attentive to their customers or even better deployed out as course marshalls golfers would get a better overall experience?
- No free range balls. Just add onto green fee then we don't know otherwise feels a let down to have to pay.
Overall though an enjoyable day out.
Nice Place
Very nice property in good condition. Staff was friendly and even though it was busy the pace of place was excellent. Definitely recommend this one.
This course has improved
I am impressed that whoever is in charge seems to be trying to make this a better course. The carts are new and now have GPS. The starters are still very unfriendly and the course bathrooms are disgusting and dirty. The fairways and greens are in GREAT condition. We had several holes where the greenskeepers were on and around the greens while we were trying to approach and would not stop. I mentioned how distracting that was to the Marshall and he said I needed to just ignore them or try to hit them...
Also the food in the restaurant is fantastic. I would go there just to eat.
more room than I expected
many reviews suggested houses lined and crowded the holes. I felt only a couple holes were a bit tight to the housing lines.
Great condition for the time of year and all staff interaction was friendly and helpful.
Some of those reviews are from players who have never played golf in a neighborhood I would presume. I cant imagine if they played Painted Desert. We are glad everything went so well.
Close enough to the strip
I like this course because it’s in great shape not too far from the strip. We just rent clubs and it’s reasonably priced.
We like to keep it competitively priced, especially with the water rates going through the roof lately.
Greens fees
I though the greens fees were high but course was great.
If you are local and feel the green fees are high, make sure you vote for the representatives that are for bringing Las Vegas water rights back to where they belong and away from California and Arizona. If you are out of State, did you see what the rates were at Bali Hai?
Great condition
To me it’s too 3 best condition course in Las Vegas. Maybe slightly behind Paiute and Boulder creek. Tee box’s are good. Fairways are great. Greens are great. And the rough is actually real grass not matted down also it’s not dormant. Just a great great course.
That's wonderful news! While we haven't had the opportunity to play Boulder Creek this year, we have played at Paiute. To be compared favorably to such a well-maintained course with an unlimited maintenance budget is truly a compliment.
Great course
Great value. Challenging course but not too difficult.

As part of this effort, we keep our greens relatively fast and avoid excessive rough to ensure a good pace of play. It's interesting to note that even with these measures, our course record remains higher than those of our three closest competitors, including Bear's Best.

We will definitely work with our starters and start paying closer attention to their actions. As far as the maintenance staff, I am afraid if they stopped every time someone approached their work area, they would never be able to finish anything. I would agree to just ignore them and if your ball does go near them, just yell , Fore. I'm glad you like some of our improvement with many more on the way.
