About
Situated in the foothills of Bull Run Mountain, Bull Run Golf Club has a beautiful woodland setting that is conveniently located just minutes from many historic Civil War sites. The course plays through mature forests and across lush, grassy meadows. There are also several ponds that come into play throughout. The expansive layout covers over 450 acres, allowing plenty of room for the native flora and fauna. The risk-reward layout has plenty of challenges for more daring hitters but it also offers wide fairways that are molded to steer the ball towards the center. The landing areas are generous but they are often framed by grassy hollows, bunkers, or mature trees. Bull Run is challenging, but playable, which is why the club is considered one of the best golf courses in the D.C. area.

Great course
Highly recommend the course. Best pro shop. Fantastic items. Great items. Course is challenging and open. Perfect balance.
Course was in good shape all things considered
Thought given the recent weather course was in good shape. Hope they continue this and do not let the maintenance be overlooked., something Raspberry Management has seem to do a lot with its golf courses in the area over the years. The super friendly staff at Bull Run is always a positive. Please keep it up we all want to see Bull Run be what it once was with excellent course conditions.

Pretty straight course. Nothing really outrageously challenging except perhaps 18 hole. Fun though.
Great course!
Great even in winter conditions. Will definitely be back. Layout is great combo of target golf and forgiving wide open spaces.
Good Course, Bad Customer Service
Like this course. Usually in good condition and nice rural layout. Booked a tee time several days after a snow. They took the tee time and scheduled our foursome. Arrived at the course and the decided that day to close the course. No advanced notice. All four of us calling courses to find an open one after showing up completely unaware that we wouldn't be having a fun day on the course.
Very friendly layout
I was thrilled with the conditions. For this time year,it was exceptional. Greens were rolling very nicely. My only gripe is that too many people left ball marks unattended. Come on guys, it only takes about 10 seconds. We all want to play on pristine greens,which is up to the players to do their part. Looking forward to my next round there.
Customer service below par today.
My friends and I have played here a bunch, and really like the course, but we had a tough experience during check in today. One of my playing partners paid for him and for me (a Birthday present for me) but was incorrectly placed with the wrong group who booked at a lower rate than we did. I brought his receipt into the pro shop assuming they would assign what he paid to our foursome. Instead, the guys working at the shop insisted on voiding his payment so they could charge me for our tee times at the higher rate. They made the mistake when they checked him in but decided to tell me the mistake was on him and it was my responsibility to correct. They could have chosen differently, as many businesses will when they are focused on customer retention and customer loyalty. Perhaps that mindset will return to Bull Run when the pandemic is behind us and the public has more choices for recreation.
Not worth the price
Maybe I had too high of expectations playing this course for the first time, but there are many other courses that offer a better experience for drastically less cost.
Was not bad by any stretch, just not at all worth the money.
Best value in NOVA
Love the track at Bull Run. Challenging, beautiful, and the best value I believe in the northern VA region. First time I ever went birdie, birdie, birdie on 8-10!
Don’t expect kind greeting from the staff :)
First impression you get when you check in ~ not much but unexpected sarcastic demeanor from the staff who are not so enthusiastic about how they should serve people who pay to play. One person who knew how to greet players was this guy at the 1st tee at least. I do not recommend this course. Period
