Bull Run Golf Club

My colleague and I finished work early in Leesburg and found a GolfNow deal for $45 so we hustled on over. We got there at the right time, hitting a big hole in the tee sheet so we were all by ourselves for the most part. Played the round in 3 and a half hours! Beautiful course, the greens and fairways are in great shape, the rough is pretty shaggy so if you didn't hit the fairway you'd better have a good eye to find your ball. Tee boxes could use some work but they weren't a problem, just the least perfect part of the course. There aren't a ton of elevation changes but it didn't strike me as the most walk-able course, some wide separation between holes. That's not a bad thing, just the fact.

The Grill makes an excellent hamburger and fries and Christian is the friendliest guys you'll meet. He does a great job taking care of customers in the grill.

Overall, very nice. Too bad it's in Haymarket and I live in Arlington, or this might be my home course!

Despite us having had rain the day before, the course was in incredible shape. The greens were well-kept and rolled pure and the fairways are pristine. I will definitely be back in the future!

A wonderful course, great golf spoiled by stormy weather. Course is in good to great condition and should soon recover completely from spring aeration.

My tee time for 12:20 was moved to 12:45 due to an ongoing tournament, You should not be taking tee times during a tournament.

I was given a cart to drive, then immediately had it taken away.

Next time I hope there is not a tourney.

Back nine was a bit rough condition wise, other than that pretty solid.

Played yesterday and was nice to play a quick round. The greens are coming back and will be playing again.

I wrote the previous review and wanted to follow up saying I do think this course has great customer service and will rebound from the weathered tee boxes and some other things. I would recommend playing and will go back because of their great customers service. I had an issue after my round with lost property and they were great in helping me. Go play BULL RUN!

A disappointing experience. I have played Bull Run many times and this was the first time this season. And wow, I can not believe how awful, and I’m sorry to say this but I mean awful experience this was. First off, I get to the driving range after paying $80 for my round to only find out they now charge for driving range balls. They used to be included. Next, we just went to the tee box at our time and there was no starter or Marshall and this was on a Sunday. At the tee-box, it looked like someone decided to kill all the grass and plant weeds. Then we got to the greens, which at one time I recall these greens being amazing, however they were being aerated so that made them bumpy, but ya know I can get and understand that. We stopped at the turn, my friend wanted a quick sandwich, but took awhile to get and then we ordered drinks and the amount of alcohol poured in them was equivalent to an ant pising, and I do t even care but the people behind us jumped us and now were right behind them on 10.

If I wanted a penny pinching service, with horrible tee-box conditions, bumpy greens, and nobody working on the course, I would have went to top golf. We paid $80 each and I would not have even wanted to pay $40, half that. I do not expect this from a course like Bull Run. I wouldnt be surprised if they look to sell the land for housing if this pattern continues, this was just awful and there is no other way to sugar coat it. For whatever its worth the bar tender was a cool guy to talk and enjoyed talking/venting to him afterwards about how awful the day was. This was not the bar tender who cheeped us on the drinks.. Do yourself a favor and don't play bull run until they get their act together and get some good reviews after mine.

Went out beautiful day but the wind was pretty intense. Didn’t spoil the day most definitely would go back!

The course is in decent shape for the time of year. Staff was friendly, cost was right. Enjoyed my time.

Course was wet of course but considering we had snow less than a week ago, overall still in Very playbable condition! Geeens in great shape and relatively fast for mid March round. Overall I would def recommend and an excellent value for the money!!!

Great course and I always enjoy playing here. At this price I couldn't fault the course. The conditions were very wet and windy but this was more than made up by the friendliness of the staff.

I was a "premier" member at this semi-private course for 3 seasons and love it. BRGC has a great of open holes without off-fairway trees, woodland holes and just a few forced water carries. Its mix of tee boxes and length allows players of vary different handicaps to play together easily. Conditions are typically excellent, although it does take more time to dry out after rains and suffers from fairway turf problems in the late summer. Staff is excellent and the restaurant is perfect. Also a romantic wedding location.

The staff was making snarky remarks of a customer who had difficulty explaining something because his English was not clear. One of the staff even suggested that I explain it to the other customer assuming I spoke the same language.

This happen on 12/12 in the morning.
