Delaware Springs Golf Course
About
Named after the springs that snake through the layout, Delaware Springs Golf Course is a scenic links-style track that is one of the better values in Texas golf. The low prices and friendly service, combined with a picturesque and challenging golf course, make this a Hill Country favorite.
Architects Dave Axland and Dan Proctor built a natural-looking course that fits the terrain perfectly. The course is nestled into the rolling hills and oak trees along the Highland Lakes, playing 6,891 yards from the tips. During your round you’ll encounter lush fairways frequently loaded with bunkers, large greens that slope severely, and numerous bump and run shots. The designers added a few original touches, such as the descriptive Scottish names for each hole (the 18th is called "Hame" for the home hole).
Another interesting design twist involved placing the signature hole as the opener. Playing 504 yards to a par 5, no. 1 is best attacked with an iron into the left side of a sloping, tree-lined fairway. The creek cuts into the landing area, making it a testy tee shot. The second shot must bend around the dogleg to the left and over the creek, and the approach is into the green shaded by large trees on the right.

Nice layout
Nice layout with friendly staff. Plenty of drink water on the course which is very important. Short drive from Marble Falls.
Nice course slow pace
It was a nice course but it was super busy and people were taking their time so we got backed up to 4 groups waiting.
Love/Hate
Always love playing here. Hate that a Fri morning round took 5 hours to play. Disappointing.
Course condition was amazing.
I have played quite a few different courses in the central and southeast areas of Texas this spring and was extremely impressed by the overall condition of Delaware Springs. Many of the courses I have played suffered from the short deep freeze this past winter causing bare spots in fairways and spotty greens. Not the case here. Fairways were full and lush and the ball sits up and says "hit me". Greens were beautiful, putted true and were fast but not electric. NIce amenities and attentive staff. And, of course, the scenic springtime Texas hill country setting is hard to beat. Played weekday mid-afternoon with no one in front of or behind us on a "hot deals" price. Absolute bargain!!! Highly recommend.
Hill Country Golf
Delaware Springs is a Burnet Texas municipal course. I was pleasantly surprised by the playability and beauty of the course. Conditions were vastly better than other municipal courses I played in the area. Layout was nice but very flat with only two holes with small elevation change. Main feature was the “forest” feel with extensive live oaks throughout. Clubhouse snack bar good, friendly and very reasonably priced.
Great dayb
Teamed with two other guys local had a great round
Great Course
Course is in great shape. Greens were recently aerated and sanded but were rolling very good. Rough is very green and a little tall. Keep it in the short grass or you wont find it. VEry nice course. Cant wait to play it again in 2 weeks.
Thank you for your positive review; we're glad to hear the course conditions met your expectations. We look forward to welcoming you back in two weeks!
Best course ive played in austin area
Best grass, nice range and chipping area, putting green amd the course was pristine there were a couple greens with patches of sand but not bad. I will definitely be coming back lots of fun
Beautiful course
Course was in great shape. The staff is very friendly. Pace of play was extremely slow. There was 3 different groups lined up waiting on the tee box.
Thank you for your kind words on our course condition and staff. We apologize for the slow pace.
Lots of deer and nature
Some nice scenery. Lots of deer and cactus. Course was challenging and pretty well maintained. The driving range was too close to the parking lot for an errant shot. Made me a little nervous parking my vehicle there. The greens and fairways were pretty hard. Would have liked to have seen softer greens. Staff seemed stressed due to the number of golfers playing. Pace of play was SLOW. We need off at 3 and did not finish until 8 pm. Staff came out and would not let us finish 18 because they said all carts must be in by 7:30 pm. There were several golfers lined up behind us who also didn't get to finish. Enjoyed the round but will try to play next time mid-week.
Thank you for sharing your experience and observations. We apologize for the parking situation and the pace of play; we're working on improving both aspects and hope your next visit mid-week offers a better experience.
Really nice Course
Delaware Springs is always an enjoyable place for a round of golf. The course is not to hard or to easy. The staff an amenities at the course are very good. Good food and drink.
great course. great greens.
Practice area is very mediocre. Could improve this area. The greens were fast and true and hold a good shot. Green complexes were not overly elevated like is to me a common mistake in course design. A couple of steeply elevated greens ok but no more and put some grass there so it doesn't run all the way into the woods. Pet peave rant over. Holes turn right and left with pretty generous landing areas off the tee. All clubs need to be ready for use as Holes very a lot in length. Nice amount of green grass when other courses are brown, hard ground unpleasant track. Rarely see cart person while playing here. Also while very flat green to tee journey is quite long on about 4 to 5 Holes making a cart pretty much necessary. Love this course.
We apologize for the congestion and delay you experienced; we strive to manage pace of play efficiently. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and for visiting our course.
